I love how Kristen Bell talks about relationship between sisters. And my favourite part is about being different from each other. As a younger sister, i was often compared to my big sister at school, usually my teachers were like "why can't you just be as calm as your sister?" etc., thanks to this i always had this kind of feeling that people won't see you as separate girls but as one and they always choose which one they like better (and my sister was always more popular, more sociable and all). It's great to hear in the interview that not only it's okay but also we are SUPPOSED to be different. I love it.

The original _Frozen_ is nothing like Hans Christian Andersen's _The Snow Queen_ . It started as a very loose adaptation and completely diverged into an original story.

well thank god. Because it was perfect. And we all know how weird some 'children' books can be *cough* sleeping beauty, snow white.. *cough*, so pretty much every Disney movie has diverted from the classic book

@@leorad I'm also very happy and thankful that Disney Animation made the original story they did, because I love it. That said, _The Snow Queen_ by H. C. Andersen is actually one of the most directly screen-adaptable classic fairy tales I know of. It's longer and more detailed than most, and not weird or overly gory/gruesome. Despite this, _Frozen_ only retained a few core concepts, such as the true meaning of love, the frozen heart, and having no emotions (akin to Elsa suppressing hers). There is actually a nice little Soviet-era Russian animated feature of _The Snow Queen_ that was released in 1957. Except for the songs, it's very close to a completely faithful adaptation. The few things "Frozen" and "The Snow Queen" have in common are a snow queen in an ice palace, a girl going on a journey to this palace with people helping her along the way, a reindeer and a happy ending. Other than that, yes it's a very loose adaptation and one could argue "Frozen" is an original story but because it has the things I mentioned earlier in common with "The Snow Queen", those things are enough to call it an adaptation, even if it deviates very far from the original.

Beatriz Ribeiro, sure thing. When Frozen was nominated for two Oscars in 2014, one of them was for Best Original Song for Let It Go. Usually, the songs that are nominated for Best Original Song are performed during the live telecast, when it was time for Idina Menzel to perform, John Travolta was the presenter and mispronounced it as Adele Danzeem. One of the most recent Oscar slip ups, next year Travolta and Menzel appeared on stage and he got her name right.

Some people are complaining a lot about plot holes, but honestly after watching this movie for the 6th time I really can’t catch the ones concerning the story. I'm kinda annoyed about the Oscars and how they treat animation, don't get me wrong, I am hyped for Frozen 2, but really great animated films from literally anywhere outside of the Hollywood area, are always passed over because, as said before, they are not from the Hollywood area.

@@PenaltyKillah is that how it works? i think they only consider animated films that are released in the US. spirited away was dubbed to english by disney and was released nationwide in the US. there are many great japanese animated films out there but they werent being released in the US so they werent being considered. when u say "outside of hollywood" did u mean american indie animated films or FOREIGN animated films? yes there are good foreign animated films out there but they should win because of their own worth, not because a "foreign animated film outside of hollywood" should win. plus, i cant think of any other animated film in 2019 that surpasses frozen 2 in terms of animations, music/score, and story. feel free to suggest one.

Frozen 2 is my favourite animated film of the year. But true, it really doesn’t need another Oscar. Disney’s strangehold on this category is not healthy for the animation industry as a whole. It pains me to say this, but other studios deserve some recognition for a change, especially from outside the Hollywood system.
