Yup, I agree! And from the last video, I believe he said he’s been on and off drugs since he was a teenager. That’s a lot of years. His family is probably exhausted and heard all the same excuses and empty promises for years. It’s no telling what all took place. But with his family traveling so far to see him, that a good sign that they do care about him. When dealing with addicts it’s not only the addict suffers, but their love ones as well.

I remember a few months after I got clean I was sitting at a stoplight and said out loud “what the heck?! Has the stoplight always been that vibrant of red and green?!!!” Then I heard a bird and said “have birds always sounded this majestic?!” My ex husband giggled and said “haha yup. You were just numb for a long long time. It was such a surreal moment. It’s been over 14 years and it will always stick w me. I hope some day Martin gets to experience life AFTER active addiction. It really is sooo much better than you could expect.

He said he wanted a room to sleep and shower before but then he said he didn't even get out of the wheelchair. He is a liar and a bad one at that. An addict will always say nobody cares. You could fly to the moon and back for them and they'll still say you don't care. This disease of addiction is cunning , baffling, and powerful. God loves us so much and the devil just wants us to suffer and die, that is how much he hates God and what God has created.

WoW...Martin sure has found a comfortable niche in feeling sorry for himself. His brothers fly ALL the way out to see him and show him that they care about him and love him, and all he could do was push them away. I understand he was embarrassed and depressed, but..he has to stop talking about doing things (methadone, hospital) and do them!! I believe if he really goes into the hospital, he will be there a while. I pray he does really go. I think he just has gotten trapped in the cycle of addiction. He is a good soul. Martin is the only person who can loose track of time when his brother came travelling to see him for the first time since 2012 or 2016. Before I even watched the video I knew he'd make the meeting into something negative. I just don't understand how that's possible. I'm negative, but he's on a level even I don't understand. I feel so sorry for those two men who travelled far and then Martin just blew him off and didn't spend time with him or them. Obviously they care a lot. And yes, I know Martin's an addict, but there are addicts who are able to keep track of time and would spend almost every second with their family if they got the chance to.
