And the lies are too easy to spot… ugh… I never give up on people until they give up on themselves. Seeing this is sad… You don’t eat before surgery because then they have to be careful and it’s harder for the surgeon to do the surgery… mostly if it’s a surgery like a colonoscopy or something. These drugs will kill him in one way or another if he doesn't get help, and he knows this, but the pull of the drug is stronger than his will to get better. I think we all know that he left to get well. I understand because I've been there too. those blues wear off quick. So while he wants more than anything to get healthy, the withdrawal is no joke. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. He was prob laying in that hospital bed starting to panic inside knowing the sickness is coming. My heart hurts for him. I so badly want to wake up to a KZbin notification saying ' Martin is in treatment!!' the drugs are strong...but you are stronger. & dude, so much love to you for doing what you do. The way you've been such a support for Martin, helping him out in any and every way, out of the kindness of your heart.. @@cupcakepatrice8418 when you start to withdrawal ...oh yes. the physical pain is hell. restless leg syndrome, your muscles, joints, and bones throb. throwing up and shittin yourself, a cold sweats. hot flashes, your skin crawls- you just want to rip it off. your eyes constantly water, you can't sleep no matter how tired you are. when I tried to detox at home, for the first 4-5 days I couldnt shower, couldn't eat, going to the bathroom was hard. I couldn't watch tv, or look at my phone, or stay still . I would literally smash my head against the wall just to distract myself from the withdrawal (never worked lol). it was absolutely excruciating.....these are some of the reasons fentanyl is the devil.

The pain and fear……! Dealing with Physical pain and emotional pain is very difficult and challenging especially for an addict. Addiction is a disease in the brain without a cure. Loneliness is an addict enemy. An addict cannot overcome the disease by oneself. Denial is a major symptom of addiction. Fear can be the root of an addict’s character defects without the addict’s knowledge. I’m praying 🙏🏾 this young man has a divine intervention in his life, in Jesus’s name I pray. Sadly, by the looks of Martin he doesn’t have much longer left. His addiction is slowly killing him, and within the next few months (if he has that much longer left) the decline period may be much faster if he doesn’t get help he needs. Will not judge him, he is defeated by his own addiction .

He needs to start with trying to fix his physical health first, and from there he can work on his brain and a detox, but despite how much older he looks, he's a relatively young man at only 37 and should have a very very long life in front of him if things are done right. It will be very very challenging, and he will have to want it, and put in the effort, but i'm trying to be hopeful and optimistic.

If you were in the struggle you should understand “will power” alone is useless dealing with this disease. Each addict is different. Some overcome the disease. Some die from the disease. I believe deep in my heart this young man wants help but don’t understand how to deal/cope with life. Most addicts have poor coping skills that’s the reason they turned to drugs for help. As a psychiatric specialist nurse working in an addiction clinic, I find it sad and worrying that Jonathan (Martin) left the clinic as soon as he did, but not at all surprising. Rather, I expected it to be the same. Unfortunately, like many other addicts before him, he will die on the streets. As a recovering addict clean 31 years I can tell you this brother is not ready for help. Unfortunately we all want more for him than he wants for himself. He will not be able to accept any help until he's ENTIRELY ready TO DETOX and get healthy. The drugs will ALWAYS have more power over him than anything. I pray he really does return to the hospital and they immediately begin to put him on a program of detoxification as well as healing his various medical issues then he may have a chance at life. My sister overdosed in 2014. I tried to help her, other people tried to help her. Unfortunately she was also homeless when she died, which I didn’t realize until the funeral home director asked for her address for the records. She wasn’t on the streets though, she would flit around here and there, stay a few days and go somewhere else. She had four children all raised by other people. It is so very sad what drugs do to people.

Bless your heart Art. Prayers for you Art. I can’t imagine how much time you’ve spent trying to get him help to get healthy. Pretty positive they would’ve gave him a narcotic to help his pain. So the withdrawal wouldn’t have been as bad. At least my cousin, got help when he needed to. He never got this bad. This man had reminded me of my cousin (just different races) sad really sad. I hope He opens his heart and except Jesus hand!

That's why I don't believe in getting too involved in these stories, most of these people just want to stay in the same state and will happily take advantage of the kindness of strangers. Just pitiful.

Martin, I hope you do follow through with what you said you are going to do! Please get help for yourself and stick with it! And please find the strength to leave her once and for all! You have so much support from a bunch of us on here! We all want to see you get healthy and be out there helping others! I'm sure if you ask Art, he would be willing to stay at the hospital with you. I would if i lived nearby! I'm mad that you left the hospital, but I still care about you alot, and I want to see you truly happy! ❤❤❤

I could see it in his eyes on the last video when he got admitted. He had no intention of staying in the hospital and he has no real intention of going back to the hospital. To sit in the face of the man that is truly supporting you and helping you and say "I just need some support" shows just how he is full of shiiii.

@@beverleycalvert-davis3592 You may be a nurse, and not to be rude, but I don't think you know enough about his specific health problems, and situations, to diagnose and know that he will die of sepsis, or get sepsis. Or am I wrong? Do you have enough information to know this for a fact? If so, then he better he get help today before he dies. He always looks unhealthy enough that he looks in danger of death, which is so sad to see in my opinion.

Oh no! I thought this would happen he didn’t go to the hospital because he wanted it it was because the police gave him a break when they saw his legs! Basically the hospital was his free pass from jail!

Agreed. He never went willingly to begin with. But I do believe his pain is real, which makes his addiction 10xs worse, considering fentanyl is a pain reliever

I knew Martin wasn’t going to stay at the hospital when he was fake passing out sleep, he wanted Art to leave so he can do his magic trick. The only help Martin wants is the free clothes. food, wheelchair and anything else he can get from Art and the viewers who are feeling sorry for him. Martin will seek help when Martin feels sorry for himself. You cannot force or persuade an addict into helping themselves and no-one should be aiding in his addiction. If he can get drugs he can get food and clothing, it’s a choice.

Both Martin & wife are a couple that will stick together as it's easier for them. Sadly, neither are ready for change yet, both wanting to do things their way. Truly think, last 3 or 4 videos, he has hinted so often he just needs a bed,other words, hotel room. He looked comfortable in the hosp & they would of been helping with his pain management. Anyone having surgery is supposed to fast beforehand & to use that as an excuse for leaving is proof, he's not ready to help himself.

He's using the wife as a scapegoat at this point and trying to pull on people's heartstrings. I believe both of them are toxic but he also tries to blame her for everything which isn't fair. I'm not buying his story. He left the hospital to seek drugs, the wife had nothing to do with it. His addiction seems much greater than hers.
