it device only interupts accel air manipulation. the reason why accel defeated here is just like when he defeated by touma. accel never feel pain before so the pain affect his concentration and amata can beat him. imagine for 15 year accel never feel pain because his reflecton and for fisrt time he felt pain. other tan that accel is physically weaker than other. and this scan why accel not use his power because he ran out his battery.

Accelerator's Reflection isn't really reflecting, rather its redirecting any vectors away from him unconsciously. Kihara was able to hit Accelerator because he stops his punches short everytime he throws a punch, making Accelerator unconsciously redirect that vector to him instead of away from him. Well that's at least what I think he did

@@enthuast3370 Yes, and he was able to do it because he knew accelerator's exact thought process. He developed accelerator since his childhood. Kihara Amata knew Accelerator better than himslef. He was a great influence in accelerator's mind. So much that accelerator adapts Kihara Amata's personality. He was able to pull the trick also known as 'Kihara Counter' becase he knew exactly where accelerator is going to reflect the attack, so he pulls back his punch to the exact position. This needs microscopic accuracy and precission and you have to know accelerator's exact thought process. That is why no one other than Kihara Amata was able to to it.

Here's the basic of the basic rundown. At least how I can explain it. Last Order (Mini Misaka) was unconscious due to the magic being overrun in the city/she had Magic being tampered with inside of her. This Magic also tampered with the Misaka Network. Accelerator requires the Misaka Network for him to calculate at least more properly than without his calculation abilities. So already he is getting a little bit of Magic flow inside his body. Index's singing is what triggered this Magic, thus wings. These wings however are an incomplete version. At the end of Index III, he translated Grimoire Magic text, using vectors, and created a spell of his own. When he sung the spell and used Magic for himself, this completed the wings and created the feathered wings on the final Episode of Index III. So basically, the wings were literally implemented inside of his body by accident or sheer coincidence.

Even though he does have Magic flowing inside of him, he is still an Esper. It is kind of an unwritten rule in the World of Index. Espers are not allowed to use Magic, no matter what. If they do, consequences will occur. It happens often to Touma's friend, whose name I cannot remember. When we figured out that he was a part of the magic side of the coin in the Universe. When we see him perform magic sometimes, we see that he also starts bleeding and destroys his body, although, he is prepared for it, carrying bandages and the works. The same is for Accelerator. As stated earlier, even though he has magic running through his veins, he is still an Esper. Thus, he ends up destroying his body as he performs magic.

What if...Accelerator has the power of the angel Lucifer inside him since Lucifer main power was manipulating things that are already created.This would explain how Accelerator is this strong and how he used to be a bad angel hence black wings but he turned good hence him getting his white wings and halo back.thats just my hope atleast since all these religious angels like Gabriel and micheal exist makes you wonder what happened to the strongest angel/Lucifer.

From what i understand here Accelerator unconsciously assimilated angelic vectors into his “programming” to get his wings. Which ironically plays a major part in helping Last Order later. At least this is how I took it 😭

Almost... the wings are made of telesma (angel magic) that Aleister injected into the misaka network and they incorporated into Accelerator's Esper powers. And they woke up thanks to the prayer of Index (nun) and the strong emotion that Accelerator was feeling at that moment being cornered by Kihara. As a result, black devilish wings appeared which he had no control over. Going forward, Accelerator used the same the prayer of index + his strong emotions of wanting to protect Last Order and resulted in the white wings which he has complete control over. And it has the platinum wings, but that's already Light Novel content...
