Yeah. It makes me happy to see that even though we're getting there slowly, you can see how he's progressing into being more willing to be open about Phil stuff. I'm glad that he trusts in us now to be able to handle information like that and not try to shove Phan down everyone's throats like people would around 2012-2013. Hopefully in the years to come we'll all be more calm about them. It's a shame that he ever had to go through a time in which he had to hide things from us, but what happened happened and now we can only hope that we don't repeat our mistakes.

There was nothing wrong with them, but because a certain video that accidentally came out the Phantom freaked out and kept saying they were together and that released the No Homo Howell era.

unknown unknown It lasted for ages and ages and Dan (mostly Dan) and Phil were kinda awkward together but mostly just really careful and denied everything and it was both annoying for shippers and kinda sad to see that they felt so insecure around each other for so long.

ThisIsNotMe Yeah. It makes me extremely sad that they ever had to be careful about what they said or act differently towards eachother (atleast on camera). But atleast now he's slowly being able to be more loose around us and it makes me happy that soon it seems like he won't have to think twice about what he's going to say because the shippers will calm down as time goes on.

Oh god. I feel so bad watching him trying to explain this. You can tell he was nervous/embarassed about having to explain this. And the thing is he doesn't owe us an explanation, but he gave one anyways. You know when you're nervous about explaining something and start out by saying random gibberish? This is pretty much what he did at first. And then his voice shook (example: 2:20 ) and I was like oh god no bby. I believe him, it seems like something Dan would do. I know he must have been making up some parts of the story, but overall him accidentally favouriting something ironically innapropriate is something he definitely would do.

PSYCHOLOGY 101: He's lying about some aspect of the story, a number of things point to this conclusion. a. He paused at the beginning, obviously collecting his thoughts AKA inventing the lie b. He was speaking extremely slowly with a great deal of hesitation throughout the whole thing, this isn't how Dan usually tells stories like this, he tends to speak a lot faster and with more confidence about the story he is telling. c. He kept randomly jumping from one bit of information to the other, as if trying to cover up plot holes in the story. d. He said at the end that he wants us to laugh about it, if it was real then he wouldn't encourage us and we know that, therefore instantly knowing that he was lying. he's d encouraging us he's attempting to throw us off the scent and pass this all off as a prank. I'm not saying that the entire story is untrue, merely little details are being hidden from us or parts have been changed or stuff like that. No doubt there is an element of truth in it as many lies have their roots in truth, however he's definitely hiding some part of the story.
