i haven't played with my MegaSquirt in a few years, but I've set up dual VE tables for the primary set of injectors. from what i recall, i have VE1 managing everything from 100 kpa and lower then VE2 controls everything 110 up to about 255 kpa. i did this so i could increase the amount of tuning boxes in each table for fine tuning. i put the car away before i could see if this strategy worked, so I'm not sure if it works with such an old MS1 box. i can't wait until i get that car out and ready to go💪 good video HPA, hope to see this dual VE table in action in an up coming video.

Great stuff as usual. Setting aside the rotary engine for a moment with no valves, I would think a strategy that prioritizes the staging based on the phasing of the intake valve in the combustion cycle would lead to more efficiency. In other words, setting the minimum off time of the primary injector to a value that corresponds to the window of when the intake valve is actually open, then staging in the secondary until it is no longer possible to inject all the fuel during this window. RPM and cam timing all play into this, and I was wondering if you have seen or performed any dyno testing related to optimizing the injection cycle based on RPM and cam timing over and above the "default" parameters that most software offers as a starting point? For instance, at low RPM with lots of cam overlap, reversion may "spit back out" the injection pulse if the pulse is too soon, or conversely, it may back up against the intake valve causing a lean condition if the pulse is too late. Very curious to see what your thoughts are on this.

9:40 Is this list accurate?? If it is, then i finally solved why i have engine trouble. I have some RX8/MX5 195500-4430 in my 4AGE. Injectors max out around 198HP. These are advertised as 350 to 380cc @3bar on ebay/Injector-planet/forums etc.. This List shows 290cc @4bar, which is close to the 280 @3bar i just measured. I was completely confused because either i had some fake injectors or they all magically broke to the same lower value. I will buy some 405cc EV14 Denso injectors from InjectorNation, these will hopefully fix everything. Thanks HP Academy!!

Fueltech just released a 7300cc injector But injector technology has massively improved I can do things today I couldn't even dream of as little as 10 years ago

Is there a way to tune for a dual fuel setup? (primary injectors on gasoline, secondary injectors on methanol) Is there a way to smoothly transition between the gas and meth AFR?

Idk much, but I'm assuming if you want to go from gas to meth, you start by having meth ins kick in at the same time as gas but to a lesser amount, then increase the percentage of power being created by meth gradually until it only runs on meth

Do aftermarket ecu's support this sort of tuning? Or would a custom table have to be added for primary injector pulsewidth vs secondary, equals target AFR?

When/At what power level do I need to upgrade fuel rails/lines? Will soon be installing AEM 340lph and ID1050Xs in support of a larger turbo on my subaru. I'm on the fence as to whether or not to convert to parallel feed and aftermarket rails/fpr. Any advice would be much appreciated.
