Ace is a legend and he was the coolest member of Kiss. Ace Frehley deserves props for still rocking out for fans at his age which is not easy.
@aaronmcdaniel7868Ай бұрын
so many stupid comments like "sad"... the guy is 73 years old, who is any where near their prime at 73? He was never a really good singer, even in his younger years. If you are going to see a 73 yo guy play, you need to adjust your expectations. Have you seen Elton John, Billy Joel, or any of the contemporaries of peak 70's Kiss? they are all shadows of their former greatness, Ace is the same. I think his playing sounds pretty good, would I pay to go see him - no. I had a shot to see Elton John last year, skipped that too, Sting and Billy Joel this year, skipped that too. I would never see Guns N Roses now, Axel's voice is gone. But if I did go, I wouldn't sit there and bitch about how "they've lost it" or how they are "sad" - no shit! they are old and 30+ years past their prime!

Ace survived a lot! He drank and took drugs for years and crashed his sports car and almost died. He finally got sober a few years ago but he lost a lot of years. It’s actually a minor miracle that he’s alive because he almost didn’t make it. He could have been yet another Rock n Roll casualty. I’m glad he survived! Yet admit I prefer him with Space Ace make up and Costume. He can’t do that anymore as he sold the rights to the Space Man Makeup and character. So did Peter Criss. At least he can still do his songs from KISS! He looks and sounds good here! I’m still a loyal fan since I was 15 and in the Kiss Army! Keep Rocking Ace! ⚡️💫

@@GNewcomb-q9v Don't get me wrong I love ACE! While I agree that he did have all that? But that was years ago, and I've read that between his marriages/divorces and the payouts, not to mention, that he's well known not being able to look after his finances very good. He hasn't lived in those huge mansions for years! Between that and the fact he's still touring, and in places that are not places a person of his stature should be playing at, many think he has to tour to keep paying the bills? Whatever the reason, his playing has slipped dramatically in the last year alone, and there are reports that he didn't even play on his own album???? Times are hard for Ace and I believe he should bow out before it gets worse❤🎸😎👍

kind of disappointed in that guitar tech…. Strap not on, picks not sticking, not plugged into an extra wireless pack- come on, brother, you got one job…. As to Ace- This is the best playing I’ve seen from him in years. A self taught 70’s icon, turned 80’s solo spectacle, Ace is the inspiration for so many players. I first saw him in 1979, a 12-year old kid with dreams of playing just like him. Then, in the late 80’s with the Comet, where his playing was far better than anyone gives him credit! Two shows on the reunion tour- Dallas, night 6, and Oklahoma City on the second leg- pure magic. Again in 98, Oakland, California. 2000, saw them in Sacramento on the “farewell” tour, where i was really unimpressed, and felt the magic has dimmed for all of them. Ran into him at NAMM 2014, on Sunday- his entourage was too massive to even get a head nod, but there he was, shades and leather, so cool. The guy is an icon. He’s not Vai. Dime. Yngwie. But, dammit, his frenetic style created legions of young players, eager to get on a stage, and light up the sky. Thank you, Ace. I still play at 57. And i often throw on a kiss song, and wail away right there with you

@GNewcomb-q9vАй бұрын
What does that have to do with the “final” piss show? Ace was never fired! He left both times! First time Peter was fired but second time they did not want to pay him! Who was at the final show from the past lineups of Kiss? They did not invite any of Carr’s family! They did not invite Bruce nor Mark’s family! Paul wanted the final show to be all about him & then the other three! By the way, Ace has been sober for many years & Peter left all that crap behind in the 80’s! Peter just doesn’t want anything to do with Gene & Paul! Ace wanted paid to show up! That’s on top of the money he was getting every time Tommy put on Ace’s makeup!
@jimromansr9971Ай бұрын
@@GNewcomb-q9v not true on many aspects. Ace and Peter both were in rehab in early 2000’s. Gene and Paul actually asked them to be a part but Peter declined and Ace demanded money as if he had always been a part of the band. Bruce was a part of some final shows as well. To this day does work with Gene.
