I have a question, how would one be able to get transcripts of the program to help with applying to college?

Once you are done you just have to go to Manage Account, Request Transcript, enter the email address or addresses you need the transcript sent to and submit.

i started acellus in august, it's my first year doing homeschool so i don't really understand a lot of the gists i need to. my question is that do i need to switch my classes after december like students in person school would do? in real highschool, students get a new schedule after the 1st semester, and i don't know if i need to do that as well. for example, my algebra class says i've completed 255 out of 300 lessons, and i don't know if i need to replace that class after i finish it, or if i'm done with it for the entire year. thank you

Once you complete a class steps / final exam for a particular grade you are done with it and can move on to the next grade. It will automatically add on the next year class, however, we don't continue until ALL classes for that grade are completed. how do i change my kids classes in the power homeschool? i she been taking spanish II and a biology that she took already in public school. i emalied power homeschool and havent gotten a response back.

I am not 100% sure on Power Home School since the interface is a little different when you compare it to Acellus, which is what we use. From what I know, she will have to retake those classes if she did not complete the full grade.

Hey Michael, Yes you can transfer to Acellus after you finish 11th grade with Power. When the time comes you just begin the 12th grade with Acellus and you request your transcripts from Power and once Acellus receives them, you will get credit for the work you did there.

Some people have had success doing it this way. You might have to reach out directly to Acellus so they can let you know for sure.

I need advice I’m at the end of the school year and I finished most of my classes and finished English II and history A but they gave me English III and history B when I finished do I do that for my next semester or do I have to worry about doing it during the summer it’s been making me panic lately I’ve been like having bad anxiety about it can you please tell me if you know if English III is for the next start of the school year and HIstoryB

What we do is we hold off on starting the new classes once we finish the current grade class. What we do is use those extra days or hours we were using to attack the remaining classes. We do this until all classes are finished. You will not do any harm in keeping them on hold. Once full grade is completed that is when we begin all of them again or pause for a month or two on the summer. Don't stress, it's okay and you got this!

The process is if you completed a full grade at another school, you will need transcripts sent to Acellus.

My son's almost halfway through kindergarten in a private school teaching grade 1 work... He hates it and bored. If I pull him from kindergarten, would I be able to just enroll him in either first or second grade through this homeschool program?

Hi Krysta, yes you can enroll him in first grade but I would check your local state requirements first. You should also reach out directly to Acellus to see what they advise.

They should accept it as long as you finish the grades fully.

There is no time limit with Acellus, you can go as fast as you want or as slow as you want.

Question: Next year I will have a 6th grader, 4th grader, a 3rd grader, and a preschooler on acellus. Are they able to follow one another on their profiles? Or is it only limited to kids in the same grade?

That's a good question but I haven't run into this situation. I would think it's possible.

It might recommend a lower grade, it’s supposed to measure if you are entering the right grade.

How exactly do you earn credits towards your highschool diploma? Do you get a Credit after every course you’ve completed?

Hi Walter, I don't really think they count as credit but each grade has 6 classes you have to pass. When you pass all of the classes you automatically can move on to the next grade and those passes would be applied to any transcripts you may need.

From our experience, no, the lessons are pre recorded. You can submit a request to speak to a teacher when you're having issues but it does take a few days for a response and usually we have moved on by then.

That's a great question. I think it's possible but if I were you I would get on a call with Acellus to get this done. I would think you just need to transfer in the credits with a transcript.

Hi Megan, Yes you can switch at any time but honestly, they just introduced the other new pricings and for the longest time it was just the basic pricing which is more than enough in my opinion.

Nope, the more expensive options are very new and just a few weeks back the only option was the basic. We are on the basic one with Honors and you have no issues choosing it this way.

If you want credit for that year in public school you will need to finish with public school to get the full credit when transferring into Acellus. If you are in Acellus already you can pause at any time, even if you haven't finished a grade.

Hi I just signed my kids up for Acellus but you said that Power Homeschool is the same? My kids are 10 {5th} and 13 {8th} grades. I am wondering if there are features and classes available on Acellus that are not available on power homeschool to make it worth the price difference? Also, does the accreditation matter elementary and middle school grades?

Both programs offer the exact same classes with better pricing going to Power but Acellus having accreditation. From research, you don't actually need accreditation for home schooling but personally I like tonhave that for my kids so we use Acellus exclusively. Some parents also do Power until 11th grade and then they transfer to Acellus to get the diploma from Acellus.

My son is 7 in the 1st grade on his way to 2nd grade by the 1st of the new year and we use his Amazon fire tablet it only cost me $75 at the time and easy for him to transport. My advice for parents looking to enroll kids under 5th grade you will have to help them particularly with some reading. Please don't forget to encourage handwriting skills and give extra activities related to the topics being learned so that they can fully grasp the concepts. Homeschooling is more hands-on then public school but if done right in their younger years they will be self-sufficient in their years leading to graduation.

You can just begin the year from scratch directly on Acellus if she's below High School I believe. You can also send in transcripts to get credit.

Hi Marlana, there is no ceremony that Acellus offers but parents buy their own cap and gown to take pictures or there may be local home schooling events you can try and find.

It should be recognized without issues International. It's a valid U.S. H.S. diploma like if they attended here and accredited. They shouldn't have any issues moving on to a university with it. If you are concerned, I would ask the University you intend to apply just to be safe.

This is a kind of a weird question but, in theory, could I graduate in a year or two? I’m in 9th grade now and I know you have to be 16 to graduate, so I would have a year and 3 months until I would even be eligible. Yes you can do that strategy of Power first and Acellus for final year, even from the Phillipines.

That's what is great about Acellus, you can do it whenever you want! We take two months off in July and August, Christmas vacation and spring break.

How do you graduate early from acellus academy. Im going to be starting soon. I'm a 11th grader in the middle of the school year. So I know I have to restart my 11th grade year. But will I still graduate on time if I work fast on acellus academy? I'm supposed to graduate in June of 2024. I guess what I'm asking is how fast do I have to work not only redo my 11th grade year but also do my senior year on time to graduate or to graduate early?

Once you start, divide the total steps of each class by the amount of weeks you want to finish the entire grade. You will have to do this for each class since all steps vary per class. You can graduate on time and even faster if you attack it with all you got. I also made a video dedicated to this topic where I talk about how to be the most efficient with your scheduling. Yes you will have to do a few exams per class and a final exam for each class.
