@@jeankenissan1528 No, he's never had that situation. He did face a $400-600 river bet with a good hand (top 2?) and lost to trips that hit on the flop. How Postle would play it: Garrett raises AA. Postle looks all depressed and conflicted. Clearly hates his life. Just calls with KK. Flop KJ2. Postle looks much happier. His hat grows a bit. Garrett bets. Postle min raises. Garrett calls. Turn 3. Garrett bets half pot. Postle calls. River A. Postle gets inexplicably upset and shifts around in his chair. Starts muttering about how life is unfair. Shoots a look of rage at the announcers. Announcers declare he will definitely fold. Garrett suffers small stroke and accidentally bets $15 into a $10,000 pot. Postle folds.

Thanks for discussing Garrett’s viewpoint after the flop on whether or not Nick had KK, JJ, or KJ. I noticed no one commented on this.. He seems to almost always get there..that was the perfect set up to drain that mans chips! He's either 4 betting some bullshit hand that magically gets there or just out flops everyone or somehow rivers anyone when big money is in the middle.. I'm not saying he's cheating but if someone wanted to with rfid cards they can clean house and know what the rivers going to be.. He'd need someone at the bike in on it but it can easily be done and be very profitable!

@Doug Polk Poker it might be an american thing, and have a different meaning, but 'spazzy' is a very very offensive term over here(UK). It refers to spasticity, which is cerebral palsy. It became an offensive term some time ago and is never used, even in anger or against an enemy.
@neildhan4 жыл бұрын
Okay, so to preface this, I'm not trying to go all SJW on you, Doug. This is a genuine question from someone across The Pond, who is curious about dialectical differences between countries that on the surface at least, share a language. So, at 01:48 you say "spazzy." Are the words "spaz" and "spazzy" okay to use in your country? They're definitely on the naughty list over here, because of the mocking of spastics. It could be that it's worse in our case, due to the influence of the infamous interview with Joey Deacon on long-running kids' TV show Blue Peter at the end of the 70s, which introduced the movements and sounds to accompany the word spaz, to children nationwide. Unfortunately, some of us of a certain age and over (I was about 1 when it was actually on, but entered schooling a few years later with spaz culture firmly established), still automatically mock themselves or friends, for doing something thick, by going "merrrr" and doing the hands, as wrong as we know it is.

I really feel like all commentators, especially the pros who are highly articulate and very communicative like negreeanu and polk...tesching us how to play poker... They should giving advice without looking at the opponents cards. I know they are (in high probability) objective and knowing the opponents cards in a recap wouldnt judge his abilities to give an explanation on what to do... But i sometimes have a very light feeling. Thst he draws his conclusion by working backwards instead of thr cards at hand.... Hes so good that 80% of his game is set where he knows what to do at any postition with any cards at any given time, BUT when chooses the good battles to do a breakdown. It seems his ability to say "call or raise is perfect, BUT I would prefer a raise in this spot...." Seems (this statement was a complete hypothetical. Not part of this hand).
