Ircc from the planar back story izumo and takamagahara has always been orbiting the black sun (black hole) instead of a proper star. So I'm guessing that's what shiragaoni mean "you and I both know, the way of salvation doesn't exist" and Archeron "we were long been under their shadow"(referring to IX/black sun). It just alluding that the destruction of their world is inevitable be it from kami or the black sun.

Because, at least as far as i'm aware, there isn't really anyone who surpassed Kevin in strength. Maybe Kiana now, or a select few others. But more or less, the only person that took the fall for the world, so the new generation Valkyries could soar, would be Otto. Also, Welt likely has him on his mind, given he saw Luocha in the Xianzhou, even if only a photo.

Actually it does still reference Kevin. In his dialogue back in HI3rd part 1 Kevin said to Kiana and co. to surpass him. Kevin 50 thousand years plan, burdens him with project Stigma. That was all of his last final plan against the Honkai. Then he wished for proof. Even on the last hour. That's why when project Stigma fail and he defeated, that's when he knows that someone DID surpass him. And those people can do better than him without sacrificing the "future"
