@Splitzer3166 жыл бұрын
How do you figure Jeremy and Matt just waltzed in? they were content creators for AH, making maps and all of this cool community stuff, AH liked what they saw, brought them in, they continued to do good work, and they became part of the "on screen" team after they earned it. Alfredo I can understand, but even he came in for test runs, they liked him, and they hired him. They all earned their spots, regardless of HOW they earned it. Hell, even Gavin came in AS A FAN, like Jeremy and Matt. I think it was Burnie on a recent podcast who said Gavin and Barbara were like, 2 of the first 3 people on Rooster Teeth when the first site launched to sign up. Everyone has earned their spot.

he was carried because of sponsor money. makes a good story
@TheBoundFenrir6 жыл бұрын
@@500phenom8 In a game like Siege, there's only so much "carrying" that a team can do. What really happened is the sponsor picked someone who had a lot of skill and talent, and gave him a team on his level, rather than the dumpster fire that is the AH crew (love them to death, but we all know they suck at videogames :P ). I remember there was an AH video a while back where he mentioned his smurf account had hit platinum or something, and everyone was pointing out that at that level it's really not a smurf account anymore. Yes, he was given a bunch of luxuries to make it easier to succeed, but don't dis the talent it takes to actually pull that rank off.
@hannahbalkovec6 жыл бұрын
TheBoundFenrir To add on to your point, it’s a bunch of luxuries he probably would have ended up just buying himself if he had continued playing Siege as a streamer or at a semi professional level before AH. Those are things he would have bought to improve his performance to play so I’m not sure why that seems unfair to anyone. We’ve all seen how good at the game he is.
@drenk21446 жыл бұрын
@@500phenom8 money does not equal skill especially in an fps game. Like me for example I don't play siege or really any fps. What you're saying is that if I was given the stuff that Alfredo was I would also be a diamond rank player even when I haven't touched the game at all. That is simply not true such as if you give a master a stick and a commoner a sword the master will always win out due to higher skill than a commoner. The equipment helps but if the user has no skill then the equipment is no more than a stick. TLDR: The gear does not make someone skillful skill makes the gear meaningful to a degree.

Congratulations to Alfredo. Personally, I don't do competetive gameplay much anymore, but I do get the feeling every now and then, like in mirror's edge catalyst, I worked my way up to the top rank there. It's not really anything though compared to a game like siege when you're working with other people to beat another group of people, there are a lot more variables there to work with and your own skills need to be honed as well. So good job, that's no easy feat. Alright everyone, game how you like and remember to have fun.

Great job Alfredo, you got this far man. I can understand such a grind. I manage to get all ranks, except diamond. It is a difficult rank to gain also it really depends on you and your team. Once your losing a match, my advice is take acouple mins to break and work yourself back up to focus on the next game. My squad and I practice just relaxing and just except if we are losing then we just need to know we are having fun atleast and need to learn to play better since we all have our weaknesses. I'd say in the future if you intend to grind for diamond again or play any other competitive game "just keep it up, never back down. Don't let the game play you".
