Did you forget defenders are a thing or what? You almost constantly fought at your base, and they can throw at the flags locations as well, they would be perfect

Ohhhh, so this is how the will be solving the lag in bannerlord! The creators just turned down the graphics to very very low. Now there shouldn't be much lag, especially during siege battles!

1. If you strike your own gate it opens. It's useful when it automatically closes because of nearby enemies but you want to hide inside. 2. It's worth picking up a few soldiers instead of going on solo-missions since they help to quickly capture flags. 3. You don't have to be within your own walls to recruit soldiers, just near your flag. 4. You don't automatically heal at the flag. You need the upgrade for that.

Defenders would have been incredible on that base. Prioritizing the cart is good, just have to be patient in the beginning and not fight unless enemies are really low in numbers. The money you gave to the AI factions allowed them to tech up into tier 2 troops right off the bat so it is ill-advised to engage them until you have skills such a javelins that can soften them. Getting a small army, about 10 and flag capture speed perk from standard bearer perk should be sufficient in capturing the cart. Obviously this scenarios is really tough and will take quite a few runs to beat if it is even possible. Best of luck to you Apollo and I hope you take my comments into consideration. Looks forward to seeing you beat this :)

That is an interesting challenge. In this chase it looked to me like some defenders would have helped you quite a lot, considering the amount of time you where under siege and/or where trying to get rid of some enemies to reopen your gates. Just tried this exact challenge. You gotta pretty much ignore the center flag, and go for their bases when they are outside them. Use your horn +flag capture speed to capture their flag quickly. Use A LOT of defenders, as you cannot afford to directly engage any enemy for quite a while, and defenders will kill a lot more per gold. If you take two bases, and put defenders on them, you will almost certainly win. I ended up taking 3 bases, but could not kill the last enemy (even after killing all my defenders and getting swordsmen), as even with 3 bases, they could outspend me. Traded the center flag a few times, but I could never quite break them. Still won, though, as my points were through the roof.

AFAIK the horn just increases your combat stats. The Gold Per Minute Standard buff only affects flags that you are standing nearby

Yeah, the cart hardly provides any gold. It's a red herring. Bases are where it's at. Also: customize your standard as soon as an upgrade becomes available.

I think a thing that would help would be if you invested in at least 2 defenders. That way if you or your men are stuck outside you have some cover fire and if you die they would help weaken the enemy and defend the base.
