alexander was macedon, spartacus was actually thracian, greece and greek culture didnt exist at the time and the britons where also not gauls, so yeah this games focus isnt on historical accuracy

Davy, the Gauls shouldn’t have that much. Their endurance in battle and so on wasn’t good at all, especially compared to legionnaires who knew to pace themselves. However it would be cool if the Gauls were more aggressive or stronger and so on at the start of the fight/ had the advantage towards the start cause that’s when the Gauls usually went all out towards, the start instead of pacing themselves like the legionnaires, which costed them greatly usually. The Greeks should have the best defensive or health, you notice this with the battle of Thermopylae, tending to stick with the phalanx style, but this didn’t work sometimes so the first line would pretend to retreat and the enemy would follow but then they would just run to another line, that was waiting and join them, this being extremely deadly, like while running a wall just came out of the ground with spikes sticking straight out of it and people behind you keep pushing you towards this. It wouldn’t have been fun. The Romans weren’t great because of their soldiers. Don’t get me wrong, they were intelligent usually being educated, loyal to their country consisting of mainly citizens which made them very loyal and not be able to be payed over. They were also trained and very well disciplined. But they shouldn’t be defence. They should be tactics, like they are able to make moves like surround the enemy with a good attack, defence, and so on. The romans were successful because of tactics. Don’t get me wrong, the romans were great soldiers with the best their time had to offer, with technology, and were trained well and daily. If you look at history, Sparta consisted of great warriors but not the best tactics. Thebes demonstrated that tactics were very important maybe even more so then soldiers when they went to war against one another. (Rome was later aligned with Sparta, with Rome being top dog in this allegiance, being bigger, and consisting of good soldiers and mind blowing tactics. Sparta was a tourist destination for the romans, with it later being sacked by early German tribes as they had lost a lot of their strength after the war against Thebes and Athens, mainly men if I remember correctly.)

Wolf Pack you have made a good point I just like learning more about the Greeks so you shouldn’t relate them to the battle of Thermopylae because there were a lot of different Greeks but Sparta a place were most citizens are trained in combat at a young age life or death, and they did a lot of the fighting and the weak point of a phalanx is the left side do to the fact all soldiers have their shield on the another side because of this Greeks would keep turning when fighting other Greeks and more. In the narrow pass they were protected on the left side.

Spartacus’s slave uprising did consist of Roman legionnaires, Many legionnaires left the Roman army and joined Spartacus, unhappy with the Roman army as it was a tough life and consisted of a lot of inequalities.

Just to rectify. Spartkus' soldiers would be dressed as Roman soldiers, as they took their equipment left from the battlefield. They wouldn't be going into battle chest naked y'know. Great vid, glad to see the game progressing !

It would be really neat if the designer could get the factions to speak their language or atleast some simple things like “charge.” It would be pretty cool to hear that in Latin, Ancient Greek, and Gaulish. I’m not sure how much linguists know about Gaulish but it would still be a nice feature.
