Just some strategy tips: When attacking an enemy base, you want to rush to the gate as quickly as possible, and start hitting the gate. You want to be right there in the front line hitting the gate. Once your troops build up, then go into testudo formation. You do not want to approach in testudo as the slow movement speed will cause more losses. You go into testudo at the gate. The reason you want to be on the front line is because your troops will not automatically attack the gate in testudo unless they are right up to it. The only way to ensure they are right up to it is for you to be right up to it as well. Once you break through a gate, ignore their defenders. Run as quickly as you can to their flag, and go into testudo formation after you reach the flag. The reason for this is you want to limit their opportunity to reinforce. Press LEFT SHIFT to use horn, doubling the effect of your standard bearer. In this case, it would bring you from +50% flag capture speed to +100% flag capture speed. This is one of the most useful standard bearer effects, as it allows you to rush their flag. Oftentimes you can still take their flag even when they are actively reinforcing and pummeling you to death. Gate Crasher is the most important upgrade. Standard bearer and standard bearer aura are second most important. At 8:32, I would have gone for purple's base behind you, as so long as purple's commander is alive, they can only spawn troops where their commander is. When their commander dies, he will respawn in base, swarming you immediately. It is much easier to fight an enemy in open field that in their settlement, so always prioritize capping bases over field flags when victory is likely. Art of War, fight the enemy where they are not. Whenever possible, pass by enemy forces, and take their bases that they are leaving. Try to do this in a way that slowly backs them into a corner (exact opposite of Art of War), though, as otherwise you end up with a game of cat and mouse. When you have near complete control of the map, and you are down to the final settlement, your enemy will often turtle very hard. If you cannot cheese your way into a flag capture, the alternative is to starve them of gold. The fastest way to do this is to keep constant pressure. Charge in your army and immediately run back to one of your flags. Build as many reinforcements as you can and immediately run back. Keep doing this over and over again until the do not have sufficient gold to fight back. You will lose a lot more men then they will, but your income will be so much higher than theirs that it will be of little consequence. The short breaks between waves limit their ability to amass gold and prepare for a proper defense. And finally, though this is not very applicable to this challenge, you generally want to favor quantity over quality. Legionary are not that much better than Militia, and the cost is rather steep initially. having the ability to flank have more complete testudo formations outweighs any of the benefits Legionary give. Legionary are late game only, after getting population upgrades.

Good strategy tips, i would like to add one. If there are more then 1 defender inside the fort snd if you are aline the doors are open for you. You can go inside and directly capture the fort and rescued man inside as sion as the game starts. So recruit 4 defenders and rushed to yhe right side alone and capture the fort on the right near river. (The buildings will protect you) . and then recruit 4 defenders and recruit your army and move to the fort. When you cone close to the fort order your men to hold outside the fort with some distance and go inside the fort alone tge doors will be open for you. While caoturing the flag order your men to follow you so they will crush the door and reinforce you i believe many people often forget/don't know the double effect for flag capture speed. Nice one. I've got a challenge, what if you started with a really big army (you can recruit defenders if you want and replace them for free) and then you cant replace your army after it's the maximum amount of soldiers you can have (you can start it after the increase max troops upgrade or not) if you want to make this somewhat challenge easier you can play until you have all legionnaires and then start your challenge or if it seems too hard ( i think it is and hasn't tried it yet) you can have 3,5, or 7(your difficulty) times where you can max out your army again to make it seem less impossible. also: standard can just exist it doesn't count as a refill

To be honest I was hoping you would use the extra space for defenders. You never recruit any in normal games and your base gets capped. Love the videos on this

This game could be great. Multiplayer setup similiar to rocket league, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3. Each player controls a legion (12 soldiers in small form). Give the player the ability to control formation quickly, form shield walls. Introduce trojans, gauls, romans, macedonians, spartans etc like Age of Empires. 3v3 could be any variation of the above including cavalry, soldiers and bows. Capture the flag. Best of 3 (wipe other team). Hold the point. Arena's could be The Colosseum, gladiator rings, outdoors etc. SO many things you could do

Hey PA, Im pretty sure you can get like 20 troops at the beginning, its maxxed when theres a tsxt on the bottom that says maxxed troops and there is an upgrade that allows you to get more troops. Also luv your vids.

You should try out the horn, it's really strong in the late game. Increases your standard's buffs by 100 % for a short time.

A good tip is to not throw the missiles at only one army because then the other army will have more troops and kill more troops from the other and you will end up with more enemy troops than you would but if one army is stronger than the other or near their base then shoot them
