I don't have any of the things on your list, but the new addition to my classroom has transformed my life! I have two baskets: one on my desk, the other on the shelf behind my desk. The one on my desk has all the papers I need to do something with. The one on the shelf is where my students put papers they need to give me (notices, keeping projects safe, tests, etc). My desk is now tidy all day, every day instead of looking like a bomb site within 5 seconds flat. Two little baskets. Who knew?!

Wow i am now in my 9th year of teaching and I have still got some ideas from your video! Love learning new things. I am currently teaching year 2 which age wise is the same as first grade but before that I taught year R and year 1 which is pre K and Kindergarten age group. I teach pre-k and to help with tattling I would read A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue. I always refer back to the book and have the kids show me their tongues to check.

But I’m debating on making my major ECE because I can’t see myself teaching above the 3rd grade and I don’t want to get asked to teach something higher than that. Did you have a minor with your ECE degree? Idk what minor I would choose if I were to change my major.

I teach art K-12 and YES 2nd grade loves to tattle. I would tell them to go talk to Mona Lisa (framed poster) about the tattle in my room.
