As far as I'm concerned, the last time Kenobi fought Vader before ANH was in Revenge of the Sith. I will go to my die on that hill all day long. In A New Hope, Vader clearly says, "The last time we fought I was but the learner, now I am the Master". Anakin was still the learner in Revenge of the Sith when Kenobi fucked him up. In the Kenobi series he fights Vader at the PEAK of his powers, he is clearly NOT the Learner. Also, Kenobi's job was to watch over Luke, and there's simply NO WAY he would leave. The Kenobi series is utter bullshit, and I don't care who thinks otherwise.

Agree about likeable characters. Luke has very lines of dialogue in ANH, but he's a charismatic, good-looking young kid stuck in a dull job. We can all relate. If you're characters aren't likeable, how can the audience be expected to care when they die? Also, when it comes to Cortosis, only Uber SW nerds would know about it. Hell, I read a bunch of SW books in the 90s and I don't recall it at all. Maybe it was in the comics (which I don't read). My point is, if you're going to have an obscure substance with magic bullshit powers in your show, you need to explain to the audience what it is, or they'll be lost. You can't expect the audience to read a comic from 25 years ago.

I never understood hate watching. Why would i do that when i can use the time to watch something i actually like? We can get invested in platonic friendship and sibling relationships and there are a lot of guys that dont even want romance in their entertainment of any kind unless it is between a man and his wheels e.g car or motorbike or spaceship, think the movie "Christine". When Willow became gay or bi in the show Buffy, I didnt like it at first because her character had changed a lot since the start of the series by then, and it was another change they made to her, but I did like her gf Tara, I wished they fleshed Tara out more in the series, she was under developed but very likable. Their relationship was played very "safe" as no hiccups until the end of it where they finally gave them some strife and conflict. I wish the writers would not fear giving them flaws and issues so they are more relatable.

The "creatives" have to understand that they cant force people to change their preferences and force people to like flavors that they just do not prefer. It is about personal taste 😉that is why there is a variety of flavors out there because taste is personal, subjective and some will be more popular than others. Depends how you use them too. I just wanted to say, while I think Nerdrotic has a point about the Revenge of The Sith comparison. That being said, I think there's more too it than just the "meaning" behind the fight. Revenge of the Sith had 5, excellently choreographed fight scenes that stretched on, and really showed the true power of the characters at play. Some were shorter than others, but everyone in the duels got a moment to shine. For the same amount of many, and apparently "more practice time" choreographing, The Acolyte put out 1 (count em) ONE fight scene. Will there be another before the end of the show? Probably. Will it be better than this one? The writers practically admitted that it won't be. And you know how we can really tell they're full of it? Hayden Christiansen, and Ewan McGreggor can pull of the same moves they learned over a decade ago, with almost the same skill and precision as their prime. Ask a single one of these actors to repeat a move from this season and I guarantee you half of them can't even spin the lightsaber correctly. Now all that being said, I do agree this is the best duel of the Disney franchise. Definitely a step in the right direction, but it's a single step and nothing more

The Jecki fight could have made so much more sense if, instead of showing her spinning a stick with the other Padawans, show her practicing with dual sabers against three or four other Padawans and holding her own. Then you have the master watching her maybe make a comment that she needs to be moved to more advanced class. And then, to prevent Mary Sue-ism, have the master spar with her and with their experience and mastery over the force they just clowndog her. Or maybe have her be extremely proficient at saber combat but give her the flaw of having trouble with her Force abilities. Have her character arc over the season learning that a Jedi is more than lightsaber combat and not to neglect her studies of the Force. Then as we get a better understanding of who she is and what she values as a person, when she gets killed we might have actually felt something INSTEAD OF NOTHING BECAUSE WE NEVER LEARNED ANYTHING ABOUT THESE CHARACTERS.

His yelling is also as big a turnoff as Az's. I find myself either not tuning in or leaving a stream early lately because of both men and it's kinda sad- especially with Az, as I agree with many of his points and enjoyed listening to his contributions in the past. The yelling, interrupting and talking over everyone else just ruins the show. It's not conversing, it's attempting to upstage.

The reason she probably wanted to not kill the Wookie Jedi may be because she was doubting the life choices that made her walk through the jungle for more than three hours, since they were probably already walking for a couple of hours when they cut to her not wanting to kill the Wookie anymore. Her feet and back were most likely hurting and she was probably chafing due to the clothing that she was wearing. Seriously you can land anywhere where there is a clearing or you can take a speeder and you land so far away that it takes three hours of walking from the point you see them talking about her not wanting to kill him, to where they are close to the house. Endor had denser jungles and there they could use speeders.

This is what happens to entertainment when you build characters around the actors/actresses instead of the other way around. Today they say we need that one actress because she’s gay and black, then they go write a gay black character. So they are now building characters around the real life identities of the actors/actresses, instead of building the actors/actresses around the characters. Example of this would be if you listen to Natalie Portman interview in Star Wars. She always refers to her character as she and her. She divorces herself from the character. Then go listen to the acolyte interview, the actresses constantly say I and me when talking about their “character” There is no character to these people, it’s them first. They are primary and the character is secondary. That’s why they constantly referred to the characters as I and me, and they used to say she or he back in the days.
