Yeah there was a definite change in their tone after their 'VFX reacts' things started to get big traction to the point they were actually able to bring in Hollywood names. They really seem to be yet another Hollywood access outlet, no longer having original thoughts or views and instead being a mouthpiece. I'm sure a lot of them have aspirations beyond doing a KZbin channel until they're 75 and retire and want to get into some aspect of Hollywood themselves be it VFX or otherwise, and now that they seem to of started to make real connections and networking them want to do anything and everything to prevent ever rocking the boat or burning a bridge.

Just bought 229 and 230 of amazing spiderman on your recommendation gary,, as juggers and spidey are 2 of my favourites. Arrived yesterday. Cant wait to read them. Also picked up x-men omega 1 to conclude the 4 issue after xavier age of Apocalypse arc thingy which I picked up the other week. Was great as it turned up and was a foil cover which i didnt know it was going to be. Never had any foil covers back in the day when I was buying stuff from stores. Im a little bit addicted to comics again now I have found a good place to buy back issues. Thanks to az for mentioning silver acre on a stream a few weeks back. I'm now gunna be a regular cmr of theirs. First time I've bought comics in about 25 years. Its mad being able to buy things that fits in with stuff I would've picked off.a shelf back when I was 13 or 14 years old. Also loving being able to get some way older stuff. None of this modern shite though.

My friend did the special effects for the rave at the beginning of Blade and he said they had to use milk as the base for the blood and dye it. Said the scene shot all day so the milk curdled and the smell on stage was awful. He and the special effects crew had to clean it up after and it was nasty.

Disney could make some serious cash if they just refreshed all the LucasArts computer games. Not change anything about storylines, or inject any woke bullshit, just update the graphics. They could make 200 - 300 million dollars with about a 15 million investment. Doing the same for Monkey Island and Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe would add even more. It will never happen because that was under George. There are over 100 games from LA! Just update and send some to PC only and some just to Playstation. They have the entire EU to play with too. It makes no sense to not leverage that amount of IP to generate a positive cash flow.

The age thing for Yoda's species is seriously messed up. Yoda was roughly 900 when he died. He told Luke he had been training Jedi for 800. We can assume he was possibly a couple of decades old before the Jedi happened across him. And then the natural progression from young trainee through padawan to knight which is when he would be able to start training Jedi, he would have been somewhere around 50-ish? Assume he didn't immediately take a Padawan it lines up. Introduce Grogu, insinuate he's somewhere around 50. Watch the confusion.

It was stale TNG when it comes down to it, which is a betrayal of the premise it initially offered. BSG Remake with Ronald D. Moore is very grim-dark, depressing, and filled with Gen X nihilism trying to understand religion, but it delivered on the premise Voyager should have done.

I strongly object the Gaiman-Whedon correlation. I love Whedon, and find Gaiman's writing absolutely insufferable. Every time I tried reading his stuff all I got was "see how clever I am" written all over the page like in The Shining. Not saying he doesn't have good ideas or that I don't know people whose opinions I value who love him, but for me he's just unreadable.

Mark this comment down; the 'twist' is going to be that Smylo caused the witches and jedi to fight by somehow causing the witches to think the Jedi were attacking or sabotaging them so they attack causing the jedi to kill them all, and then Smylo took one twin as his apprentice and told her the jedi killed everyone. So the big ending 'dramatic' scene will be them working together to fight Smylo, or maybe just evil twin fights Smylo, and either they all kill each other, or Leslye does the Disney+ "nobody will ever know what you sacrificed here" or whatever thing and has one or both surviving twins just peace out after She Hulk with Whip in hand shows up and wants to silence them all aka kill both sisters and Sol kills her but is mortally wounded or whatever because he wants to protect the sisters and tells them with his last breath that hes sorry or whatever, and so yeah one or both of them just like get on a random ship and leave for 'far away' to explain why they are nonexistent in any other Star Wars. It also leaves the option open for further *ahem* 'adventures' if this slop somehow gets renewed. I don't understand how people are still "guessing" that there is another Sith that hasn't been revealed. We know that for a fact since Headland took away any semblance of mystery and said several times that an "Acolyte" is the term for the Force users that Sith Lords try to recruit before taking down the other Sith Lord in the Rule of Two. So Vader was technically trying to recruit Luke as an Acolyte to take down Palpatine. Anakin was originally being groomed to be one for Palpatine while Dooku was his Apprentice, and Asajj was Dooku's Acolyte (and later Savage) but she was called an "assassin" since Palpatine knew about her. Smilo is the Apprentice Sith Lord and the Master is still out there. I think the mother of the twins might be involved, but I doubt she is the Sith Master since it would be too much of a complicated mess to establish her rising to become a Master in the time since the attack, but this is Headland so a confusing story mess isn't out of the question... Maybe she is an Apprentice to Plagueis and Smilo is a (failed?) Acolyte to her and he is trying to gain his own power to overthrow both Sith Lords by recruiting one of the witch's daughters.

I've been watching RLM since... christ like 2008ish I think is when I first ran across the Generations review, on the heels of the Abrams/Kurtz Trek 09 reveal. I've not always agreed with their takes, usually moreso around the supporting members than Mike Jay or Rich; like any time Jack would open his mouth and anything but movie talk would come out or whenever Josh/Wizard would say something like 'the patriarchy' and it not be a sarcastic remark but a serious one. But holy hell have I not seen Mike/Jay/Rich make such a stupid video in.... forever? They release an hour and a half long video, call it a "review," spend an hour of the runtime trying to play holier than thou fencer-sitter and taking jabs at anyone who dares have any sort of discourse on some nerdy subject no matter what the discourse is or what your view is, to then just spend the remaining 20 minutes to say the show is horrible and laugh at it. It's extremely weird to hear them make that stupid "Don't watch it" argument as much as Mike has bitched and moaned about Trek for the past decade or more, to the point he actually seemed heartbroken in a few places. RLM got its big break with Mike's Plinkett reviews, which was nothing more than a Trekkie nerd film buff who got bored and wanted to make a funny yet extremely nerd intensive deep-dive into Trek and Wars, and then take that popularity and use it to spin off Half in the Bag (which everyone hated at the beginning and just wanted more Plinkett) and Best of the Worst. I just can't get over them making a serious argument for "We'll if you hate it just ignore it. Don't watch it" when their entire career, views/stances, and past history up until that Acolyte review was the exact polar opposite.

Consider this. Since Disney has owned Star Wars and spewed out their trash there are two high moments. The Darth Vader scene in Rogue One and the Luke scene in Mandalorian. The fan, and I mean across the board including normies, reaction for both of those went through the roof. So, using those you would think Disney would learn what works and what doesn't. Give the fans what they want and you have discussion that lasts for weeks and are brought up years later which in turn creates cash cows with people clamoring to Target for merch. Instead they have literally given us two moments in 12 years and the rest filled with ire and disappointment.
