I’ve had the Viking for years now. VERY expensive, but the times it has saved me a situation of frustration and even having to get help, it has totally paid for itself many times over. Guys on site have borrowed it so many times, like when I first brought the Fein multi tool to site. Nicely done Rob.

I’ve got two Viking arms and also the cabinet lift accessories for them. This is one of those tools like the Grabo, where you don’t know how much you’re gonna use them until you have them, and then they are indispensable.

@thomaskubiak701927 күн бұрын
@vinjanderson I went with the Dewalt. For what I do, being able to hold a door and push down with my foot and have the jack still be functional was huge. Also, from watching Rob lift the weights when he’s squeezing I could see how much stress and pressure he’s putting on his hands. I have a bad right hand so being able to just push down on the lever and not have to truly rely on grip strength is big for me too.

I might have to scoop a couple of these. Probably leaning towards Dewalt. Thank you sir. I finally threw up my tool trailer video if you want to give it a look. I think you'll appreciate it.

So if you’re eyeballing your work then the DeWalt or Irwin would be fine. But for precision work, where you’ll be using a level, the Viking Arm is best. One thing to note is that the Viking Arm has a number of accessories available. They also have a long version available, where the handle is about 29” above the ground. And it comes with a bigger base. For myself, I have three pairs of knockoffs made in China. Not as robust as the others, but fine for my needs.

I can see a lot of overlapping parts between the Irwin and DeWalt which makes sense since they are both owned by SBD.

If you get the Viking you can get some thinner bottom pieces (maybe you would call them feet) that I use more than the regular feet. They are awesome for slipping underneath of things. I really like how precisely I can lower the Viking

Viking Arm is the inventor of the jack & suing Stanley Black & Decker [owner of DeWalt & Irwin] for patent infringement. This will be a "David [Viking Arm] vs Goliath [Stanley Black & Decker]" lawsuit. FYI

Thickness of the base? The viking looks thicker than dewalt. The irwin is irrelevant as 3/16 increments is intolerable. If you placed it under one side of something. How much have you raised it before jacking any?

I will NEVER buy another dewalt product in my life. Their new DEI manager and team, take a look at their “engineering dept.” some Chinese H1B literally ordered 10 sets from Viking and told them they would work a deal after Viking busted him, then they just made it. If you buy Dewalt or Irwin, both Stanley black and decker, they HATE YOU AND WANT YOUR CHILDREN NOT TO EXIST. We are sick of it.
