My husband just walked into the living room and heard Becky’s voice….. his response was “oh Lord, she is watching Becky! What am I going to the store for now”! Lol, I guess I do make many of the recipes that you show us. Two days ago it was meals in a jar, yesterday was more chicken broth, today is tomato sauce. Hmmmmmmm, I do have a huge bag of apples in the pantry! Lmbo

Becky, I have a Scottish friend with whom I share recipes. I confessed to her That I was dreadful at pasty making. She sent me her recipe for pastry with or without sugar depending on what you are using it for. Her recipe is more or less like yours, but her secret for a sweet pastry is to use egg yolks cold from fridge instead of water. It really takes the pastry up to another level!

Irish Nachos for the win!!! You can easily open up a jar of home canned meat, too. One of our favorites to use on nachos (whether chips or potato) is home canned Roast Pork in Spicy Broth. The recipe is on page 297 of the book you borrowed from Renee...The All New Ball Book of Canning and Preserving. I keep the broth when I strain it off and use it for another recipe. I hate to have such a flavorful broth go to waste.

Yes, get the damaged apples taken care of asap but if the other apples set a while their sugars concentrate a bit I believe. They get sweeter. Great for applesauce (for Baby Acre), pie filling and apple butter. So relax a little more and let them sweeten up. 😋

Many years ago when I was I child (I’m 72 now) my mother would make fried pies. Very similar to what you are making but instead of baking them she would fry them in a little Crisco. She made apple and apricot pies. I think the apricot were my favorite. I was always so excited when she made them. After they fried she would dust them with powdered sugar

Hi, Becky, I was watching a different video where you harvested your apples, and I thought I should tell you about the worms. They are known as “Apple maggots,” but they are really caterpillars. The moth mommies lay the eggs on the blossoms and baby fruit, and they hatch out when the fruit is big, and eat their way OUT. The best thing to do is to deal with the moths when they are laying in the spring. Look up Apple maggots and I’m sure you can find a natural solution. Hope this helps.

We have had an outstanding apple harvest this year and I have done your pre prepped filling for pies. Now I have 25 packages with filling in my freezer and tomorrow I will chop up more apples to freeze for apple cakes/muffins. We also have a stunning year for mushrooms, I have never found this amount of funnel chanterelle before. I visited your website a couple of days ago and I must say that it looks great, tell Josh he did a good job! For your wasps you can fill a small brown lunch paper bag with store plastic bags and tie with twine at top to make a wasp nest. Place these around the outside of your house were the wasp are building nest. I tie them on my deck, porch and other random places. Since they are territorial the wasp will not build a new nest when they see these. I have done this for years and my wasps are greatly reduced.

Oh what a afternoon, Becky on my iPad!🎉🎉🎉 Woo hoo! My son and husband love apple pie. I’m actually going to make one soon so this video is perfect, I’d like to make my own crust. I make the filling myself so why not. Plus all store bought crust is NOT created equal. It’s like you can read my mind.😁 Nice..an Apple preservation day is in the near future. I’ll be on the lookout. I do slices too when I make apple pie. Mmmm, cinnamon. Your peeler looks just like the one I have. It’s the BEST peeler I’ve had. I got it on clearance in Walmart after Christmas a few years back. My husband makes loaded mashed potatoes, he’s a Chef at a 5 diamond resort, it is sooooo yummy. I use my air fryer oven daily in my home. We are empty nesters so there is no need to heat a full sized oven, or my house for that matter…we live in Florida.😅 I use my full sized oven for Christmas, I host Christmas Day in my house and share lots of Christmas time goodies. My sister-in-law lives for Christmas Day. One of my presents to her is Christmas Day…a day of relaxation and family with great food and she doesn’t have to do a thing. She works really hard on a daily basis and. I appreciate her to the fullest. Plus, I have no sister, only brothers and she is the BEST human being.❤️ Ah….pop tarts! I’m going to have to try that.🎉 There’s the look I was waiting for. Your passion for cooking/eating is awesome. Your facial expressions are intoxicating. We eat “linner” sometimes too. Crunch…music to my ears. Awesome video, I always enjoy seeing and interacting with you. Have a wonderful day.🤗

Looks so yummy!! I also do a “stuffed “ potato recipe so easy. Take clean potatoes in boiling pot that barely cover… cook to tender but not mush. Put on a baking sheet slightly mash them…. Cover with toppings….. bacon, chopped green onions, grated cheese and anything else (we like pan sauté shrimp) sour cream etc. put in oven till warm….. so easy! That’s our dinner tonight 😊

Love that apron! I've been in the kitchen all day today. Finally, I sat down now that I have my apple crisp in the oven for church tomorrow. Your video was first on my feed. I so enjoy watching you cook! You have a great way of helping me to relax! Thank you!!

This was a nice video. I have been pulled a little thin so it was nice to have a mellow but creative video to watch. Well done. Also, the apple trees at the barn where I board my horse are loaded and so good. I have just been picking up the good ones off the ground not wanting to hoard them. But no one id taking them! So I am going to grab a couple of buckets and return with apple butter and hand pies. Thanks for the inspiration!
