Becky, I just had to let you know that I made your (or rather your school friends) Lasagna Bolognese with Bechamel sauce! OMG what a hit! I thought without the cheese filling i wouldn't like it as much. Boy was I wrong! And those lasagna sheets are amazing! We had a surprise birthday party for 18 people and everyone loved it! The people who's house we were at had lived in Italy for 5 years and they said it was great. Thank you for all you do for us!

I cook up a ton of different veggies, onions, mushrooms, peppers, garlic, squash and zucchini and puree it with an immersion blender, I then bag it up into snack size bags and put in a larger ziplock bag. Then when I'm making soups or casseroles, I take one out and throw it in - adds great veggies and flavors.
@firequeen219438 минут бұрын
I do something similar. I just dehydrate and then powder. Oh, I will do a dehydrated mirepoix mix as well. Shelf stable, no freezer, and I use it like spice/base. I typically have to “sneak” my veggies in, lol. And I’m an adult 🤷🏼♀️. 😘. Great idea!

Tis the season to have more comfort meals for sure. Also soups. Becky you should can up some curry base sauces for yourself. I just did a red curry sauce base and when I use it I add my heavy cream. So nice just to brown your meat and run into the pantry and open up a jar. I always freeze heavy cream in ice cube trays just so if you need a quarter cup of cream instead of opening a pint of cream always there. Cheers

Loving beckys switch to weighing and embracing the change! Yes it makes recipes more accurate but by a flick of a button it allows you to use recipes from anywhere, be they metric or imperial! You never know if a cup measure is packed, fluffed etc and it can really screw up a recipe. Plus you have less washing up, just zero the scale between ingredients!
@maureenpickle44404 сағат бұрын
You can also add a pint of canned diced tomatoes and it is really good.

Also remember, by adding your rice with everything in the pot of the Thai green curry, you spice that too. If you don’t want it that spicy, use one tbsp curry paste and cook your rice separately as it adds mildness to the dish.
@WendyPeckinpaugh2 сағат бұрын
I make chicken, broccoli, and rice casserole at least two or three times a month. I was in awe of those beautiful stalks on your broccoli! Hard to find them with that much of the stalk still attached around here. For me, it has much better, less bitter flavor than the crowns after the tough outer peel is removed. I will try the curry recipe in the near future. Thanks for sharing your kitchen and garden adventures!

The chicken, rice, with cheesy broccoli is my favorite too! I really can't wait to make that dish! Thank you for sharing! I love, love your vlogs! These are all beautiful dishes Becky. If I made the curry it would have to be toned down spice wise but that’s easy to do anyway. And I think I’d change the first one to chicken also.
