Acrylic pouring & fluid art:
/ fluidartbysantanahagedorn
keep in mind. a lot of simpler or cheaper versions. check out mixing with floetrol or glue video
DIY Pouring medium:
Europe ml
- 200ml PVAc (or PVA)
- 80ml water + 20ml acryl paint thinner OR do 100ml water
- 100ml pouring medium OR another 100ml Floetrol
- 50ml gloss Varnish OR leave away
- 200ml Floetrol
USA:
- 6.76 Oz PVAc or PVA
- 2.70 Oz water + 0.67 acryl paint thinner OR 3.38 Oz of water
- 3.38 Oz Pouring medium OR another 3.38 Oz of floetrol
- 1.69 Oz gloss Varnish OR leave it out
- 6.76 Oz floetrol

Santana, as I was copying the recipe I realized I don't know how much of this you add to your paint. What type of paint do you use and what is the ratio to this medium? Thank you so much. I am going to do this in a few minutes lol.

+CountryLifeTales the general rule is paint + 30% pouring medium (no matter what you use)+ water to the right consistency. I use various brands. To get to the right concistency it needs different amounts of water. Some are thinner some are thicker ( check out the paint mixing video). Because no matter what - the consistency is 99% of success. Hoi, I am rather new at pouring paint and I enjoy watching your video's so much. I see some things from action and gamma. But where do you buy your PVA and your pouringfluid / flowtrol cheapest?

+Colinda Koopmans pva, floetrol Ans Pouring medium are interchangeable terms. Please have a look at the beginners video. You can buy floetrol as well as PVAc or Vallejo pouring medium at blazingcolours

+Mallory Evans i'll advise you to go to the basics playlist and start with the background knowledge. It's not that easy. This is the medium (there's other options). You have paint+30% Pouring medium+ water until you reach the correct consider. That's key! It's not a silly question. Just saying - start at the beginning ;-)
