Haven't seen it yet but know it will look amazing as light shifts over it! It looked like an awesome alien landscape at night before tilting.

I used the turquoise flash on top of raw umber. It made 2 separate colors out of the one color shift... Turquoise and deep blue. I was so surprised, just wanted to let you know that the raw umber underneath makes the dark blue. Haha, it's so cool!! Great job! 💙

Deby at Acrylic Pouring I know how much you like green! I have been thinking that a cranberry red with gold and off white would be nice, or blues and white with silver.

Deby at Acrylic Pouring ... Deby! Deby! Deby! Like you, I had tried just one CF in a pour with other colors. It was nice, but not spectacular. Today I used the black, red, and blue flash, with white regular craft paint. WOW! I used your recipe, including the coconut milk, one drop in each except the white. I'm in love with this stuff! I did two 5x5 canvas boards and dipped some driftwood chips and bits of slate. Yep, in love! I can hardly wait to see them dry. One is a "tree ring swirl" and one was a flip cup. Thanks for the inspiration.

Interesting, I'm toying with the idea of purchasing some of the colour change pigments and adding them to some acrylic paints and/or acrylic mediums to see what they'll do in a pour. Great work Deby.
@tonic19166 жыл бұрын
Wealie did you get the color shift pigments? If so how did they work out? And do you mind sharing what brand? Only ones i seen so far seems be for vehicles and since im new to pouring i wasn't sure if i could use that typet pigments.
@CydMindful7 жыл бұрын
That turned out fantastic. Love, love, love that paint and your bravery with the color mixes. Folk art is rapidly becoming my favorite paint, even though I've got so many other top drawer brands. They've come up with some unique mixes and reds and that very red. The color shift is one I haven't come across yet, but after seeing this I'll be on the hunt. Nice job.

Oh yes you will love them I'm sure. I only have a few of the small bottles and keep them for 'best'. I will be sad when they are all gone, I can't buy them here on the island. Enjoy your painting.

NO! It's not your accent although I like it as well. It's what you say and how you say it. Sometimes it's your humor and other times it's just you. I used the UV clear spray varnish on this one because I really wanted to show off the paint and the color change. I was thinking the thicker glossier varnish would take away from that perhaps. I think it was the right choice for this one because it was all color shift paints. And yes, all is OK, my island was well south of the storm.

It's very nice. I'm not a fan of yellow green mixed with blue greens, but it's still nice! 😁 I have a few of the color shift colors and I think I'll try them in a pour. I'm very glad you're not in the path of Irma! I couldn't imagine what would happen to such a small island getting a direct hit. Being in the Tampa area it looks like we are going to be ever so lucky as Irma keeps being pushed further east! I'm very concerned for the Miami area, however.
@AcrylicPouring7 жыл бұрын
It does look bad. I have friends with businesses in some of the islands that have been worst hit. Must be heartbreaking. Fingers crossed for you
@bonniekitt17 жыл бұрын
Deby at Acrylic Pouring Well that darned Irma is tracking a bit west, but we're still at the edge of the cone. We will see what tomorrow brings. I'm very concerned for those in Miami area. Have 4 cats and do NOT want to have to evacuate them! We are in the last evacuation zone and do have hurricane insurance. We are as prepared as we can be considering we don't know the exact path. It's so nerve wracking! I'm sure you understand living on an island like that. I'll keep you posted.

Glad to know that you got through Irma's nasty effects. I am just south of Tampa on the Gulf Coast. I'm here and waiting for Irma's path up through Florida. I'm packed in 3 small bags and can be out the door in 1 minute if I get a mandatory evacuation on Sunday.
@AcrylicPouring7 жыл бұрын
Stay safe Peggy, I can't imagine how difficult evacuation will be with so many people all trying to move at the same time.
@peggytravels7937 жыл бұрын
Deby at Acrylic Pouring - I never got any evacuation notice so just hunkered down in my condo. I don't think the Florida roads could have handled any more travelers. The gas stations had 90 minute lines or were out of gas & hotels were full of those who had to evacuate from the Keys and further south. I got through the storm and lost electricity for about 30 hours.

These paints are so expensive the first time I saw them I only bought 2 colors(purple and pink)10.00 U.S. for 4 oz. and now you've inspired me to go invest in a few more .I've been having great success with my metallics canvases lately and I see you are too.This is perfectly stunning .I even liked it a lot when the middle was mostly blue .( so difficult to stop anyway) we just have to see if we can improve on whats there at the moment.Sometimes it works sometimes, not so much .Love this piece and very much appreciate your experiment (this one, in particular, helps me out a lot!) We are in Florida and about to get the hurricane that just devastated areas close to you.You have been in all our prayers ...I'm certain.I hope you weatherd the storm to the best of your ability and to see you are here making videos again soon .
