Thicker paint and low torch setting will allow control of the cells. Great thank you!

Exactly, the trick is to be able to swipe and not have the cells immediately overtake the canvas - that way you get to choose where they go😊

I really appreciate what you said about the setting on the butane torch and the creation of design in the painting with cells by how you move the torch and also about using the silicone or whatever cell activator is available in the top layer and not touching the canvas those are all really important pieces of information and I appreciate your sharing your experience

Really the floetrol is just a pouring medium. It can be replaced with any other, really 😊

2:1 floetrol to paint for all the layers. 1 or 2 drops of silicone oil in the color you swipe with

Not by itself no - you want to use a drop or two of silicone in the paint to create cells - mix it into the color you swipe with

We dont have regular access to floetrol in Egypt - but we do have cheap acrylic varnish that works like a pouring medium. There’s no reason to use varnish as a pouring medium if you have a cheaper alternative.

Now this is a nice and simple example of creating cells. A few basic colors, a little silicone and a piece of copy paper. Not a dozen colors (many of which have stupid names) and a 4-ingredient cell activator with expensive products.
