Thanks for the rundown Mark! I do want to just point out that you can have multiple of the same Ink cards. They just can’t be the same business/SSN. For example if you have 2 LLCs, you can get two CIC cards, 1 from each LLC 👍

Yep, this is true as P1 (me) and P2 (wife), we have 8 Chase Ink Cards, 4 unlimited and 4 cash. All applied with social security numbers and as sole-proprietor. Just make sure to only get one card every 91 days (3 months +1 day) to reduce the chance of a Chase shutdown. In a general sense, Chase cards that earn Ultimate Rewards points (including the Sapphire Reserve) are better for earning points on everyday spend. Co-branded cards (including Marriott cards) are better for specific benefits with a specific brand. I almost never put spend on co-branded hotel/airline cards. Exceptions that can be worthwhile to some people, including myself based on my goals at the time, include: 1. Spending towards status (i.e. elite status to get the benefits that come with that) 2. Spending towards a benefit (e.g. free night certificate, annual choice award, etc.) 3. Spending with the specific brand at the highest rewards multiplier (e.g. 6X Marriott, 10X IHG, 12X-14X Hilton, etc.) ^ Outside of those scenarios, I rarely use those co-branded cards for earning points. I just hold onto them for the benefits.

It does, but Chase is not very transparent about it. You have to go all the way to the application page itself to see it. At the bottom under 'Certifications,' you'll see as the 10th line item. You should give them a call. Historically Chase will match/make up the difference on a welcome over if a a better one comes along within 90 days of your approval. Usually what happens is you call or send them a private message stating you want to see if you’re eligible for the elevated offer. They say yes but you’ll need to contact them after you reached the spend goal. You reach the spend goal and contact them again and they issue you a credit of the extra UR points difference. Worth noting Amex usually will not do this but thankfully Chase does!❤😊

The credit score requirements are not published, so I can't say for sure, but it's possible. While I'd personally want to have a 700+, Bankrate mentions a 670+ for the Chase Ink cards. That said, the credit decision involves more than just the score. The only way to find out is to give it a go.

Probably because the answer varies from one person to another. It can be an easy 'yes' for some and an easy 'no' for others. In the credit card game, there is no such thing as "100% of everyone needs the Venture X, or the CSR, or both." It comes down to how much you spend...how much you travel...what your goals are...what kinds of benefits you actually value...what kind of rewards you want...etc.

Yes just reach out to their support and ask about the new elevated offer of 90,000 points. I just called and they sent in a request to their points team that will either approve or deny the sub increase. Could take 10 to 14 days before a decision is made and if made, they will apply the points immediately. I did this earlier this year a month after they changed the offer down to 75,000 and the approved it after about 10 days of my request. Usually they ask you to do this once you met your sub bonus (reaching out for the elevated bonus). I reached my bonus yesterday and the 75,000 points are currently pending. Good luck. Just call and ask nicely about wanting them to look into the new sub offer and if they can approve of the new sub bonus to your card.

Hi Mark, would I be able to use these cards to fuel my semi truck? Some business credit cards will not let us use their cards to spend more than $200 at a time, which is like a quarter tank or less. If I can put 200 gallons of fuel in my truck on these cards, will apply since I'm preapproved and at 3/24 now.

I can't guarantee anything, but I've never heard of a Chase business card consistently denying transactions above a $200 threshold. Even in my experience that has never been the case. I've spent tens, hundreds, and thousands at a time with no issue. Which issuers have given you problems with that?

@@MarkReese I haven't applied for any business cards, but saw Bank of America, Citi Costco and US Bank business cards and noticed in the terms and conditions they mentioned something regarding commercial vehicles either not allowed, or limited to $200 for fuel per purchase, and that would be more of a hassle if I need more than 40 to 50 gallons of fuel. I will have to look at the terms and conditions on the cards again, but I believe the business Costco was the one not allowing commercial purchases, and other 2 cards I looked at were up to $200 at one purchase. I didn't look at Amex or Chase conditions yet. Chase mentioned up to 25k on each card, which I would do both cards to possibly make a full year in that category.

I see the following terms, verbatim, from U.S. Bank & Citi... *U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa* "Purchases of gasoline or electric vehicle charging greater than $200 will not be deemed to be a purchase of automotive fuel and as such will earn a reward of 1%." *Citi Costco Anywhere Visa* "You will only earn 1% cash back, not 4% for gas and EV charging purchases made at superstores, supermarkets, convenience stores and warehouse clubs other than Costco or for fuel used for non-automobile purchases." ^ Although with Citi, I don't know if "non-automobile" excludes 'commercial' automobile. Regardless, I'm surprised to see these exclusions. Perhaps it due to the fact that these cards have elevated rewards categories on gas and they're trying to control costs, esp. for people who may buy non-gas items (e.g. in the attached convenience store) that still code as 'gas.' That said, I don't see any specific exclusions calling out gas in the Chase Ink Cash terms. However, I suggest you do a deep dive to know for sure. Consider calling & asking directly, too.

She got her 2nd ink unlimited card January 5th, 2023. Her first ink card was April of 2022. For me, I got my 4th ink cash March 2nd, 2023. I got my 3rd ink card, unlimited Nov 6 2022. ​@@MarkReese Chase Honored this when my wife signed up for her 3rd ink card from my Referral at the beginning of April 2023, after the sub dropped to 75000. Support said that I would need to reach the sub first and once the sub was met (didn't require points to be posted, just sub met). I reached out to support and they sent the case up and two weeks later (mid June) I got an extra 15000 points posted to the ink card (the difference between 750,00 sub and 90,000). What was so great about that was I was able to collect the 40,000 referral bonus. Just wanted to share this data point with you. I did refer my wife again (after waiting 91 days from her card in April), and I just met my sub bonus yesterday for the 75,000 points. I'm going to have her call in and see if they can honor the sub bonus change. Will update with another Data Point. *edit* I just called and they sent in a request to their points team that will either approve or deny the sub increase. Could take 10 to 14 days before a decision is made and if made, they will apply the points immediately. My last Ink card sign up was on August 1st this year.

@@davidwilliam9451 We received email approval 10 days ago and it said card would arrive in 5-7 days. We have still not received the card. Yet we got a call allegedly from Chase fraud department about 3 days ago asking if we applied for this card, had we received the card, asking personal information. We didn’t provide any information since it seemed fishy, just confirmed the information they provided. 🤷‍♂️. So we still have no idea what promo we will get. How long should we wait for the card before calling and who do we call? We have no account number? Ugh

When your inputting youre income on the application, can you put your side gig income and add your personal income from your 9-5 to it? Or can you only use your business income? My side gig expenses are not enough to cover the 6K in 3 months. If I put my personal expenses on there I can def hit it. Can I do that?

1. Yes. If you click on the "i" (info) icon next to 'Total Gross Annual Income' on the application, you'll see that Chase allows you to include income from self-employment (i.e. side gig). 2. Per the terms, the business credit card is to be used only for business purposes and not personal, family or household purposes. Have people blended personal & business together without any problems? Yes. Is it something I encourage people to do? No. The decision is yours. I'm just here to report the information.

Why not? The idea is to put all normal expenditure on the card to hit the bonus.. do you not spend $2000 each month on groceries, gas, dining, bills, etc ?
