Yep.... I play 1/3 and when I started to implement such strategies I broke even for the month 😄 which is over 100 hrs. To win in 1/3 you have to be betting just value heavy. It’s gonna make you a worse player but that’s the way to win...

It's a little frustrating to have GTO strat out there and learn able but knowing you have to first learn the "incorrect" (exploitable) way to play instead of learning the optimal theory and learning to exploit afterwards. Wierd game.

To even begin to exploit correctly you absolutely need a basis in fundamental theory otherwise you don't truly know what, who, why, or how you are even exploiting a spot or a player. Having the knowledge of theory gives you a foundation to deviate from.

I just scroll past the ads before watching until all the yellow spots are cleared, then I watch the full video without the annoying ads. Usually they get cleared without playing. Sometimes an ad will play while clearing them out, but at least then I can watch the entire video without interruptions. See you at the tables mate.

Hate being critical of poker players but Hunt reasoning is something you see from fish or bad lower stake pros all the time with combos. If he has 20+ combos that are bluffing over 33% of the time, Chin is losing money. Combo argument only works if your opponent has this hand and does this 100% of the time.

Calling an all-in on a paired up board? It's a fold if you don't have it. Love the show, but GTO has to play more sensibly than this, and not be used to talk yourself into a call when your opponent could clearly just have a number of hands that beat you. Love the show though.

Paused the video to write this: When dude had 9s full, that's a CLEAR check on the river (unless you know your opponent is VERY PASSIVE.) The other guy (bald pale dude) has a range that is FILLED with jacks and busted draws.

Chin could have the same busted draws in his range. Overbet could be called or induce a re-raise. That bet doesn't have to work very often for it to be a profitable play.

"Filled with Jacks" is a bit of an overstatement. I'd definitely recommend a check here in general at low stakes because villain tends to show up with missed draws most of the time though.
