Here's some of my thoughts so far: -Landon so on point with his breakdowns -Ton of fun watching Trevor, Johnny, Vaughn battle it out so far. All have very solid analysis. -Sad we haven't gotten too many hands from Marle yet -Kinda disappointed Ramapage isn't mixing it up much compared to how he usually plays (seems like he's knows this game is a little over his head so far though and is playing pretty tight) Anyways, thanks for the awesone content guys, can't wait till next week!

Rampage is not a solid player. Not even close. As a matter of fact if you go look up luck box in the dictionary a synonym is ethan. @@verifiedgoose421 You’re entitled to your opinion and your definition of the word solid. For me solid, in a poker context, means above average enough to be consistently profitable. As much as supporting your argument with a theoretical picture in a dictionary may help your argument I’m still going to side with his being a profitable player for years and having earned a bracelet. I’m not saying he’s a great player. I wouldn’t mind having him at my table to be sure and he’s clearly the weakest spot in this lineup so far but relative to the poker world he is clearly a winner and by my definition a solid player. I’m sorry that it seems you feel the need to assert how poor he is but I’m going to stick with my contention.

I think Landon is really off that he needs to bluff with a queen on that last hand... A queen just beats their ranges decently hard, we can probably just call that. There's also very very few hands that beat his queen and would fold to his raise, the main target of a bluff on this river would be Qx, that we block with this hand selection.

Since this is a comments section on the internet, I believe I’m required by law to criticize something about the show. Much of the preflop commentary seems largely unnecessary, particularly if the goal is mostly capture in game thoughts (not exactly sure if that’s the goal though). For example, surely Landon isn’t pondering over why A5s is a better hand than A6s in game. Anyway, this show is awesome!

After watching these episodes, it makes me think just calling sometimes may be the best move preflop, and not have just a 3 bet or fold approach. Only when playing in a game as tight as this however. Trevors Q10 off open and Landon folds A6 suited. Yeah A6 suited is pretty weak, but it can make some very strong hands that could get paid off on later streets for way more value. Yeah if you get squeezed pre you have to fold, but it’s not a large amount of value vs later streets. You can certianly over do it and bleed off tons of money if you are always calling with A6 suited, but you could just choose to only call with one suit of your suited Aces or something. Its just weird... oh cant speculate for $25 pre, but can call this $110 flop check raise with Q high on the flop... I guess its correct, but is just odd to look at this way.
@sunfarmer1797
@sunfarmer1797 3 жыл бұрын
The problem that arises a lot in "just calling" in a full ring game is that it invites a lot of other action behind you and obviously much harder to win against 4 or 5 people than heads up.....3 betting also let's you rep a lot much more post flop, garner information and.just flat out win without doing any more work
@justmusic2353
@justmusic2353 3 жыл бұрын
Folding A6s in Landons spot is something that a great pro would do that is very subtle. Most novice players will call here and that’s what separates the best from the rest. These small mistakes will add up over time when u keep making them over and over.
@mjriemen
@mjriemen 3 жыл бұрын
@@justmusic2353 The A6 was just the best example I could find at the moment. I think a range of A2-A5, A10-AK suited is just fine. Take A2 suited for example though, I feel like most of these players would be looking to light 3 bet A2 suited, when calling is could also be fine. Yeah you might get squeezed and loose $30, but when you 3 bet A2 suited you have to fold and loose more money. Preflop is 100% extremely important, but these out loud shows tend to usually be pre flop battles and the mistakes on later streets for far more money are overlooked I think.
