I agree, there’s no need to follow the news, other than to harm ourselves

I stopped watching TV & reading newspapers during the Brexit referendum, the unadulterated bias in the media was too much.

Good for you, and I see this thought as something connected to a minimalistic lifestyle, to keep life uncomplicated and simple, and so, keep the baseline dopamine level low. That is healthy and sensible ; however, there is a counter argument, presented in this interview, which is that we must face discomfort and unpleasantness head on ; by doing this we build resilience.

Listening while in bed with a flu . Hard times are impermanent as are good times. Label it good or hard and there begins a problem. Thankful for this teaching 🙏

yes... and each day is training day.... to get better and better.... more present... and more at peace, innately. To simply enjoying being, even if outside circs. are challenging, and everything isn't going along easy street.

It seems to me after years of struggle (but survival!) that those of us who are more resistant to change, self reflection, meditation are simply those with massive karmic imprints or in other language, huge generational trauma that was never attended to. Discomfort and outright suffering is progressive the more it's resisted or denied; combine that with less than positive histories (abuses, wars, disease, famine, drought) and we have a perfect storm of chaos and confusion. Thank you for sharing your experience openly. It gave me hope that I'm not hope-less. 🙏💪

I agree with you. I think so many of us in this time have come to transmute the karma of generations ... trauma and pain and suffering in our ancestors that went unheeded, unfelt, unseen, unheard, unacknowledged through lifetimes because of social mores and shame. The more we can see our struggles and suffering as part of a sacred undertaking the more I think we will call up the heroic parts of ourselves that are capable of meeting the challenge.

Sometimes looming difficulties are doorways, that when opened, let in rays of golden light and change; but it may not seem so at the time.

I don’t agree with feeling that you don’t blank the mind,he’s suggesting you just concentrate on breathing or some would say repeat a mantra. However in my opinion you would eventually drop all bodily sensations and breath which is the lightest of them all.Its just MIND FULL.God is in the blank mind. But I suppose a happiness organisation isn’t looking for god.Maybe feeling does drop the breath in his own privacy instead of looking for happiness which is the opposite of unhappiness

And in the U.K. …and everywhere…it will come as a few people suffer so much now, a few will look for a way out and find it.
