11:48-Across the street is the Gladstone Hotel, which was built in the late 1800's and had a train station near it so that CN (Canadian National) & CP (Canadian Pacific) passenger trains could stop off at it and deposit passengers who would then stay at the Gladstone. The Gladstone got renovated a few years back after falling into disuse and disrepair in the '40's and ''50's, and is now a boutique hotel.

Actually, our Central Park is High Park, where coincidentally a movie was filmed that's set in Central Park called _The Park Is Mine_ , a 1984 movie starring Tommy Lee Jones.

44:59-Across the street where the furniture store now stands used to be a punk rock-orientated performance venue called The Big Bop/Reverb, which used to be painted in purple and black.

Hi ActionKid, I'm so glad you and Ken collaborated together. Ken knows so much about Toronto, you can never go wrong walking with him! I would say, High Park would be more like Central Park. If you ever go to Montreal their subway stations are called Montreal Metro. If you are still in Toronto this weekend, Happy Thanksgiving! This was really fun, thank you!👍👍😀🦃🐼

Lots of places sell pocky in Toronto, like P.A.T. Sanko a great store but a lot of the products can be found at much cheaper prices at other Korean/Asian Grocery stores.

@@giuseppegnazzo3154, yes, lots of stores do _now_ sell Pocky (🙄), but for many years _before_ Japanese popular culture took off, this store was the place to buy Japanese good like Pocky.

If watch almost any of Ken's videos or Johnny Strides, for sure it sounds like NY because of all the car honking and sirens. One of the reasons the show "Suites" was filmed in Toronto is because they wanted the same ambient noise.
