Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Hey Zach, I am sure I speak for all of your subscribers here. When I saw you getting up at 3am to check the corn drier it dawned on me just how much hard work Becky and yourself put in to getting these videos out to us at what is your busiest and most stress filled time of the year. I am sure I am not alone in thanking you all for all your hard work in keeping us entertained.

I don't look at this as being entertained, more as informed. I grew up on a farm and have been away know for over 40 years. It is amazing to see where equipment as evolved along with everything else. I appreciate the hell out of Zack, Becky and all the others for what they are doing and bring able to put out a video now and then to keep us informed.

@@rickmiller1429 I totally agree with that. I am a gen-Xer who worked on my grandpa's farm as a teenager for several summers going on 30 years ago. He was the first person in Michigan to own a Challenger 75 in the early 90s. Loved that tractor. It was a game changer. And things have definitely changed since then! I learn so much from this channel! Really appreciate the depth of knowledge and the explanations. "We're taking this corn even though it's wet because. . ." or "we're spraying this instead of that because. . . " or "we're adding this do-hickey to the combine because. . ." Fantastic. Farming is hard enough, but doing all these videos too?! It's great entertainment, but it's so much more than that. Zach and Becky are giving us a window into American agriculture that I don't think has ever been there before. It's a big deal because nobody else is doing it quite like this. We have people doing ag business/market recap movies, equipment reviews, repairs and how-to movies, harvest/planting/tillage movies, etc. All interesting in their own right. Love Big Tractor Power and Framhand Mike, and others like them. But Millennial Farmer is operating on another level. It's the total package, and people can see that. Thanks so much to Mr. and Mrs. Millennial Farmer, Nate, Jim, the kids, all of you. You guys rock! Keep doing what you're doing. We'll keep watching.

I've always liked the smell of corn drying. There are several GOOD aromas on a farm, and I don't mean 'the smell of money' on a pig farm! As a pup, I used to walk the furrow behind Dad when he was plowing to smell the fresh turned dirt, and maybe pick up a few worms for a trip to the crick. Running the hay conditioner as a teen, I would get a good whiff of fresh cut hay once in a while. Most of the time it was like work, and so noisy you couldn't smell anyway. Another smell I liked, was of fresh ground corn as it came out of the Montgomery Wards Grain Buster hammer mill.

The '19 s780 with a 35 foot head was outperforming an '18 s770 with a 40 foot head... I'm sure some of that was operator based, but I ran cart by myself for the 40' head guy and checking his losses and it was considerably more.

By the way, nice to have the drier. When I was on the farm, there was no dryer except in town which means you had to sell it wet and pay for drying. This way you can control how dry and when to sell. Great to have that dryer. Best wishes, - Dean from Edina.

Millennial Farmer: Smell that? You smell that? Me: What? Millennial Farmer: Dry corn, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of dry corn in the morning. You know, one time we dried corn for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked out. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink 31% moisture corn. The smell, you know that dry corn smell, the whole bin. Smelled like... Victory! Someday this harvest's gonna end...

Hey Zach- A stoke of genius including Bethany in the video. I’ll bet number of subscribers skyrocketed. No offense to Becky, same when she’s in the video. I’m in hospital with a new knee just installed this morning. New respect for Millennials. Almost 100 percent of staff here at Midwest Orthopaedics are millennials. Great hospital and great team. I’m looking for the grease fitting on the new knee😳. Can’t find it....must be a sealed bearing. Please be safe working alone on those late nights. I bet Becky is checking up on you out there.. Git ‘er Done. !!! Captain Al from Tampa 😎. (Temporarily in Chicago)

Out driving the back roads of Iowa, Illinois and Missouri over the past couple days ... watching your channel helped me truly appreciate all the machinery, hard work and people that I saw working their fields! Thanks for sharing
