302 Bushels Per Acer is pretty wishful thinking in our area, but we might hit it in spots with our Channel® Seed. Using Farmer's Business Network's data network helps me decide which hybrids perform the best in our area, on our soil type. We upgraded our automatic tarp system on the Kenworth to a Thunderstone 6000xr one-touch at Meixel Truck Sales shop and spent some time scouting fields with our Channel Seedsman and Agronomist. Jim and I finished getting the chisel plow ready to go. It won't be long now..

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Pretty soon it will be freeze up before we can combine. Thanks for the video.

It always amazes me how many different things one needs to be a farmer these days. Tools, supplies, implements, technology etc. Just stir in a ridiculous amount of work and poof. . . broke! PS, many, many years in future you will find this carved on Zach's headstone. "Are you OK?" Thanks, here's hoping for dry weather soon.

The Shurco 3500 series electric tarp is a GOOD system. The motor for one you had was built by Roll-Rite. Manufacturing. the case is made of a hard plastic.Good strong motors, I have had them for over 15 years. They will last for 1000's of opens/close rounds before failing, They can be easily replaced & installed in about 35 minutes. You could have bought a new motor for around $700.00 or buy a rebuilt motor for around $400.00 with a 1 year warranty on it. You spent around $1700. to $2000.00 wear you could have spent between $400 to $700.00 & been ready for a few more years.. There was years that I hauled as many as 400 loads a year, rolling the tarps twice per load. so I know them quite well. When you get right down to it the product you purchased is also manufactured by the Roll-Rite Manufacturing Company to & is a very good product. Roll-Rite makes Good Products. & stand behind them.
