The timer for this one clocked in at about, 24 hours in total with a break for sleep around 9 am yesterday morning lmao.
With that all being said. This is an extremely DENSE song lore wise.
to put it shortly, the way I interpret it is as follows:
The first layer of this onion :
A highschool level filmmaker decides to star in their own movie, after the two underclassmen they asked to be in it beat the shit out of each other. perhaps over artistic differences or maybe they were just bad friends.
The second layer:
Everything from the 2:35 mark of the video backwards, is in fact the film that they made.
art can be inspired by real life so maybe they made the film based on a nasty event from their highschool days, or perhaps it's all fictional,
and we will never know the answer.
in the end they made a movie...
about making a movie and having a justifiable reason to star in it themselves, and then becoming famous from that event. Never to see the people who told them to stop making movies again, at the end of the video we see the main character looking at the comments section under the film they posted. and nobody seems to understand it or the intense feelings they were trying to get across with it. So they smash their phone.
it's extremely complex and ironic, and it's made even more ironic by the fact that I've transcribed it into english and made it even more purposefully pretentious by doing so ☠️☠️☠️☠️
it also feels vaguely inspired by "Goodbye, Eri" from Tatsuki Fujimoto of chainsaw man fame.
