Hi Clara, when you needle PC8 for example for mouth ulcer, would you also combine any other points like CV24? would CV24 be used for local pain relief of the facial region including inside mouth? And also how deep do you needle the point? I’m practicing on myself and I think I might have hit a nerve as I get shooting pain distally along ulnar side of index finger and radial side of 3rd finger. Is that where I have to stop pushing needle in when I feel that electricity like sensations? I’m using a 30mm needle with 0.5cun perpendicular insertion. Thanks for your help.
@Acuproacademy
@Acuproacademy Жыл бұрын
Yeah you did hit the nerve 🌷 it happens, keep massaging it until the pain subsides. Each point is different depth. For PC 8, I go 0.2 that’s it, very shallow 🥰 For mouth ulcers I would not use Ren 24, mostly I would use distal point yo cool the fire like ST 44 🙏

@@Acuproacademy thanks for your help Clara, so you wouldn’t also use PC8? And once the nerve is hit then it’s not in the right place right? Then I should slowly withdraw the needle and turn away from that point, right? What sort of sensation is normal when it’s done right? I somehow thought having that sort of electricity like sensations was normal and expected. Also I meant, PC8 with CV24. Thanks again.

@@COYS111 I still wouldn’t use CV 24 with PC 8 for mouth ulcers 🌷 the sensation is tough to feel when you’re the practitioner and the patient (that’s very hard to feel Qi)…

@@Acuproacademy I see, I meant in general on a patient, not on myself 😊 I’d be scared to do it on myself. But I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks again for your insight.
