@@sleepwalker2112 could be a motor mount they are electronic and my 2018 TLX has 50k on it and had 2 bad motor mounts causing vibration. These are vcm I believe I'm not positive but what that is variable speed control or something which will cause a vibration around 50 to 60 mph that's the motor trying to drop a few cylinders to get better fuel mileage and it causes a vibration because the motor is off balance when it does this.

The only reason you aren’t feeling it now is because the transmission mapping has changed and so arent noticing it the way you used it. It will come back once it learns again.

I recently bought a 2019 TLX V6 and experienced some transmission issues as well. On the first day, it somehow slipped into neutral during some hard acceleration on the highway, which lost power to accelerate (apparently there was a open recall of this exact issue on the 2015 TLXs?). I had to pull over and restart the car to temporarily fix it. Later that night, after doing some hard pulls, I got a 'transmission problem' warning message from my cluster and I had to restart the car again to fix it. Since then, I've been driving mildly and there has not been any issues. Another issue is that I’ve noticed a significant delay (2-3 seconds) when shifting from reverse to drive or vice versa from the gear selector, the delay can really be noticeable after you press the drive button. Thankfully, I did a transmission reset as shown in your video, and the jerky shifting issue has definitely improved (still some here and there but significantly less noticeable). However, the delays from the gear selector still persist, now is more like 2 full seconds shifting from reverse to drive. After doing some research, I found that Honda has issued technical service bulletins (TSBs) addressing these transmission issues. The documents mentioned procedures like updating the TCM software at the dealerships and performing a relearn process as well. I’m hoping the dealer can apply those TCM software updates to recode the TCM or something to fix these problems permanently. Have you ever encountered the same issues like delays in gear selecting, slipping to neutural, and transmission warning messages?
@fabolousg4everАй бұрын
@ceylonunique3045 nope none of those issues mine is good .

2012-2015 MDX have a known tranny jerk/judder. There is a technical service bulletin 16-062 addressing it with a software update and transmission fluid flush. This fixed the problem in my MDX with 130K miles. They also extended warranty to 8 year/80K.

Is it really that bad I was thinking about buying one
@joeaverager3 жыл бұрын
@@melaninqueen90 Maybe it is different cars and different expectations. We've had a 2014 MDX since 2017 and we love it. We purchased it with 40K miles and it has 110K miles now. No problems. Excellent touring vehicle at ~75 mph on the highway. Comfortable and quiet all day long. It does have a few quirks - 2nd gear shift (1st to 2nd) is rough on a cold morning. If the windows are down, it seems like sort of active noise control gets confused for a moment and causes a rumble from the subwoofer. Usually does it once. Now at 110K I know the transmission needs a fluid change b/c in 3rd or 4th gear, climbing a steep hill, the rpms surge and the lockup torque converter isn't locking up and staying locked up. Just a drain and refill of transmission fluid. The DIY forums recommend doing this every 30K miles (basically two years depending on how much you drive). There are several MDX specific YT videos that detail the parts numbers and the process. Rough Riders has a good video on it.

Thank you very much.I have 2015 rdx. If the transmission is jerky again, do I have to reset it again? How often?

Just reset, I believe it’s better on my Acura RDX 2016... i feel it less and less. I did have a flush today ...the dealership told me to give it sometime to feel a difference. How much time?

I’m looking for one of these for my wife and I saw they have transmission problems, is this the problem they have or can the transmission fail like a Nissan lol and make the car undrivable

I have a '25 Pilot w/10 speed transmission and have this problem with 1st to 2nd gear and after reading seems many other people have this by design, would this fix this for those that don't like the quick shift/jerk from 1st to 2nd in Normal and Economy modes? It doesn't happen in Sport as expected but obviously RMP is higher.

@@FiZZStar yes this should fix it
