That happened to me after I had my son, but after the postpartum shedding it went back to normal.. the tenderness lasted a while though.

I had locks for 13 years before I cut them two things are happening, you dyed the blonde which can cause damage and postpartum shedding. Nettle tea rinses does wonders very gentle use twice a week a box of organic nettle tea is about $4. Good luck dear.

I LOVED doing the ACV RINSE on my locs. I’ll be doing another this weekend. Next time you may try to lay on your counter instead, lol, that’s what I did. I recorded and posted it on my channel if you wanna check it out.

It’s called postpartum shedding. It doesn’t last that long. My front locs did get a little thinner. I just made sure I was eating healthy and it didn’t last long.

Jamie Skirvin Maybe my sarcasm wasn’t obvious enough lol. I know that I’m experiencing post partum shedding. But good to know it won’t last too long ☺️

ACV rinse doesn’t make much sense to me because the baking soda and vinegar neutralize one another, which pretty much brings is back to water. I clarified my hair by soaking my hair in the bathtub, and then washing with dishwashing liquid. I would have told anyone that my hair didn’t have buildup. Boy was I wrong. I swear it looked like mud coming out of my hair. Afterward my hair was so shiny and I could see the difference in how my conditioner worked. Clarifying is the truth.. I said all that to say. I wonder if just soaking your hair in plain water and then washing it would have the same results.

Oonagh72 I’m not entirely sure about the science behind the two together, but Apple cider vinegar has a lot of benefits, like: it clarifies and removes buildup, treats dry, itchy scalp and restores shine. And baking soda cuts down on grease. I think that this would still work well without the baking soda and just using apple cider vinegar and warm water

I definitely love to clarify with dish washing soap, perhaps I'll finish up my next was with an acv rinse too

Oonagh72 baking soda and vinegar does neutralize each other, but in doing so makes salt. So it’s like soaking your hair in saltwater, that has special powers to pull toxins from you hair. It’s the type of science our hair likes 😂😂😂

I watched another video and what the person did was just use baking powder and water with the hair in the water added the vinegar and the same thing with the reaction would happen but it would be more into the hair or something like that.

Can u soak ur locs in the acv when it's colored? I don't want to strip my color which is red. I only dye my locs like every 6mths nd it's professionally done.
@JOSETTEBIANCA5 жыл бұрын
Chelsea Redman Your colour will definitely get stripped. Maybe wait until you need a refresh, then do the rinse then dye it again if you want to keep the colour. ☺️
