Adam was my first teen idol. Rediscovering him by the way he speaks out about his bipolar condition is special to me. After all these years, my likewise attraction to the flamboyant appears to connect me to him in more than just the external level. Very grateful for it.

The first album I bought with my own money was Prince Charming when I was 10. I got that and a Kings of the Wild Fronteir t-shirt from the record shop for a tenner. Then wandered around with a white stripe on my face for a few months while my parents worried about me getting beaten up for wearing makeup. Thanks for this. It was a wonderful interview (again) and I'm quite taken back to a time I'd near;y forgotten.

Adam Ant / Adam and the Ants wasn't an 80s product. The man is timeless. He just happened to be in the 80s when he brought about his out-of-this-world brilliancy! But he could have done it any time, regardless of his year of birth. The man is a timeless genius.

I'm from Brazil, and I discovered Adam and The Ants around 2008 or 2009, when I heard Ant Music. I never thought it was a song made in the early 80s. I got hooked on that song and when I discovered the other songs by Adam Ant I was amazed wondering how I had never heard of this artist before. MTV in Brasil never showed anything about him and never showed any video of him. This man is a genius in my opinion and his work is indescribable. Very underestimated by the mainstream media, but I am happy to see that he is still recognized by people today.
