For a solid 55 years people have sought the opinions of actors and entertainers in general about politics, religion, etc and that's o.k. IF you're not basing your values and lifestyle by their corky thoughts. DAG is an actor, comedian and overall funny guy to vast majority of people. BTW ... these two are industry friends, DAG grew up in a wealthy family, Adam did not, DAG went to a prestigious university, Adam did not, and the differences continue.

People have taken sides, that's the bottom line. Adam put it well when he pointed out that certain individuals (I would add mostly on the left) will view your disagreement with their points of view as being "hateful," "bigoted" and the like and thus stop being friends with you. Just remaining silent when they bash a political foe (such as Trump) puts you under immediate suspicion. You must join in! And yet these same people will utter slogans like "diversity is our strength." This kind of behavior is all very childish and immature but it's also the product of decades of slow and incremental social change that has gone from radical freedom of speech and expression (supposedly) to censorship and lockdowns. It's come full circle, I'm afraid.

I'm in Canada... so really have no opinion on US politics. Therefore I do consider myself to be impartial and with respect to the viewpoints of Donald Trump - I must admit I'm surprised anybody can defend him. It's almost as though the Trump supporters are mostly just saying they want change - but it's insane that people really think he's a good person. I too am afraid!

Ive never stopped talking to people because of their politics, but I HAVE stopped talking to people because of who they revealed themselves to be BECAUSE of politics. When the whole George Floyd/2020 election shit happened, a lot of the friends I had revealed themselves to be very racist. People who have eaten in my my home, who I have shared work and food, and holidays, and visit them and bring their kids birthday and Christmas gifts. People who I have shared good and bad times with throughout the years. These are people who are no longer welcome in my home. There were tons of black people who I lost as friends because they began to say the craziest most racist shit I ever read. And that shit is very jarring when you spent years sharing your life and friendship with these folks. You show people hospitality. And many of them said that their hatred for anyone who isn't black is indiscriminate and unanimous... it's embarrassing. These people have had so much access to my life a friendship. The media/democratic politics had these people thinking that this was a turning point in history. Biden won the election, and just like every Democrat administration after they win, they dump black people back off in hell after they used them for their votes. Today, these people are very quiet. Their lives are difficult, but they refuse to admit that they were used and dumped back on the plantation. The economy is making us face tough times, but they refuse to blame the government the same way they did when Trump was in office. BLM was discovered to be a scam, suddenly no one is wearing their t shirts or posting their symbolism on social media anymore. But they pretend as if they weren't decked out in full BLM symbolism as if were the new Black Panthers. They go on, and quietly live and struggle quietly, just like the government wants them to do. Today, they invite me to their homes, which I politely decline because I maintain them at arms length. They invite me to their kid's births. I politely decline. They invite me to their special days and holidays. I politely decline. Pizza and game night. Decline. Call to see how's it going, decline. I'm not with the shit. You only get once chance with me.

How is the BLMGNF a scam? They have been exonerated in court, have released their tax returns, and have so far used funds for what they claimed they originally would. Several unofficial chapters rejected donations from them for some reason. They have done a lot for blacks and the poor since you may have last checked, and they plan to release their next return as well.

It's funny watching this right now as I've been listening to old episodes of Loveline almost nightly for the past couple years. Adam trying to act like during the Loveline years he just spoke simple truths to white kids to show he's not biased is hilarious considering I've literally been hearing him go out of his way to say negative things about any and everyone he could. I've been listening for nostalgia but as an adult now who's in the same age range as Adam during the show (exactly the same age as I'm listening to the 2003 episodes), hearing his stuff with adult ears instead of kid ears makes it clear. Adam says things for comedy but he does come from that era of white guy comedy where purposely saying bigoted things for shock value was considered funny. Lots of it I don't think he means BUT he clearly has his biases. You can't host a show where you openly say the most bigoted things you can, some of them you actually mean, and then act like you don't know why someone is tired of dealing with that. Lots of people have distanced themselves from Adam, he's divorced, been "banned" from various late night shows, apparently lost close friends and was sued by one or more, etc. And let's not even get into this Mr. Birchum cartoon he's pushing which is honestly so bad and such right wing pandering unintelligence that I'm embarrassed for him and I wonder what's wrong with him for even making such nonsense. When I was a kid I thought Adam was the coolest thing and going back as an adult and listening, as well as taking his recent stuff into consideration I definitely see him differently and can completely understand why someone wouldn't want to deal with him. Adam was cringe back then even for that time and today isn't looking too good either. It's honestly a shame because I do think he's intelligent and I really wish he was as good of a person as my teenage mind made him to be. Ah well.

The same thousand people I used to talk to I don't talk to anymore, cuz i'm on another journey in life, i think it's that simple, being a celeb living in L.A knowing another 1000 celebs is the same thing as being a civilian knowing 1000 civilians, you're just exposed in showbiz with multimillionaires, that's the only difference, no one is going to lose sleep over this except some loser with no friends in real life, ok, i said too much

It is always my liberal friends who can't tolerate my conservative friends, I've never seen it the other way. Now sometimes my conservative friends want to make it all about politics, but we eventually get past that. I think cutting someone out of your life because of politics is silly. We all have a lot more in common than we do with politicians. I would say Adam is a pretty center-right traditional guy, he's by no means a provocateur, but if you are only around Hollywood liberals you might think so.

I am probably projecting, but I can kind of see hurt in Adam's face. I don't agree with that guy on SO MANY things, but I have friends of all different views and stripes. Adam is still best friends with Kimmel, despite their differences. I wish more folks could do that. (I also think Adam is really entrenched in his own views and chooses to focus on things that reinforce his beliefs as TOO MANY do. Try to not be one of them.) I wish Adam would reach out to DAG, even though I totally agree that Adam didn't "break things." I'm an idiot who is this exact dude too: 11:03 "I don't always know...There are times when there is an incident in someone's head that you aren't aware of." I would REALLY REALLY love you guys to get together again. I am much more on DAG's side politically, but I don't like this stuff. I actually still love my Auntie Gay. Always loved listening to Adam, however he did start to ge political and general topics. I understand people evolve and change with age, but it became less entertaining and amusing in general. The show tends to sound more and more like a new outlet opinion piece and less of a comedic podcast with interesting observations and characters. For those that recall the ACE man used to have the number one podcast many years ago. For the record I still listen to ACE ON THE HOUSE and enjoy he filmmaking endeavors for the last 15 years and go to see his stand at the Improv when tours, however the daily show is far from what it used to be.

Agree 100%. At some point the comedic rants just became regular rants. Fine in small doses but there is only so much bitching some people can take, even if you agree with some things it gets tired, especially when you hear the same rehashed stories over and over between the rants. Like listening to some drunk guy at a bar...but without the stumbling and slurring. Eventually it just comes off as opiniated asshole.

Now he's a frequent guest on Fox News, and in one segment all he could do was whine about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and he thought she was stupid. He's now appearing on a animated series on the conservative Daily Wire, and it is incredibly unfunny.
