Dave.. Punk didn’t “go after” anyone. He was interviewed. He was asked questions. Not just about AEW or Tony etc. He was also asked about beef with HHH. He was asked about Vince. He was asked about UFC. He didn’t go after anyone. He answered questions. He wasn’t scathing or attack anyone. He gave his opinions and his experiences. People don’t have to agree or believe him or like him. But don’t act like he sat there attacking everyone. He was clearly uncomfortable at times and tried his best to make the point that he wishes them all well, and had more good times than bad. Your hatred for Punk is pathetic.

You know, if AEW wants positivity so bad, why not start with it yourself? Maybe don't have the CEO of your company up at 4 am fighting with Bischoff, or your top veteran wrestler tweeting Punk's lawyer on Christmas morning, or have your Max Caster tweet BS, or stop constantly taking little digs at WWE every week. Yes Dave, they were quiet because they were listening and paying attention to what Edge was saying! What's so hard to understand here?

Because he has to take a shot at Punk and act like Punk didn’t have the most important wrestling interview this year

Edge giving a promo circa Russo on WCW. The "Best in the world" wrestlers looking like punching bags to hype a match like they used to book Jericho. Dave defending a dying product doing everything he looked down on in both for years. What is going on!?

Edge doing a rah-rah speech is going to have the reverse effect. In fact, it comes off as desperate and uncool at a time where AEW needs to look more cool and less desperate.

Saying the average wrestling fan isn't going to watch the Punk interview when it has nearly 1,000,000 views might be the dumbest thing Dave has said today.

It’s really quite sad that wrestling "fans" are at the point where Adam Copeland talking about what a great time it is to be a wrestling fan gets criticized because he broke the sacred oath of "never ever speak ill of our lord and savior CM Punk".

It's just so cringe and pathetic. I dislike CM Punk and think he's a bitter a-hole but this segment was so desperate and lame

They should've just ignored what Punk said and gone about their business. Doing something like this makes it clear that Punk's words set them all off.

hard to not shake the apocalyptic, Jonestown vibe of the opening moments. Any avid viewer of cult narrative knows that there's only one way this ends. Luckily, AEW isn't currently distributing any beverages of uncertain origin; pass me a can of Woooo! Energy, would you?

Hilarious that Meltzer is trying to pretend that none of the AEW wrestlers watched the Punk interview. Everyone knows they all watched it. Especially the guys he was specifically talking about..
