This sounds like how students behaved at my "elitist " school. They kissed teachers butt but they were ruthless and mean towards kind hearted students.

The problem is he is basically saying Givers is like the lottery, you are either a winner or loser. Where the matcher is the safest choice .

He actually says that the givers want to learn to be strategic about their time, why they give, when they give and who to give to!

Matcher or Watcher?

I disagree when he said MOST of us are in the middle. It that was true there wouldn't be the abuse and hurt in life from people to people. I feel there's definitely more Takers in life.

Mathematically, none of takers/givers can be majority. And that's because for every taker out there, there has to be at least one giver from whom (s)he takes and vice a versa. So, yeah, he's right...there have to be more matchers who have the qualities of both.

He had a TED talk on this a few years back, with numbers (well not real numbers, but a chart) that you can find on kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6q7g4ydn7aLjpI Like Rakshit Sharma said, it's only natural for most people today to be a matcher. I'm actually kind of surprised the number wasn't closer to 75 or 80 percent.
