Soaked was written by Matt Bellamy of Muse & given to Adam for his first album off of Idol. Check it out who else gave him songs it's full of amazing contributors - Linda Perry, Rivers Cuomo, Gaga, Pink are just a few. The pianist here is the same he's working with now (all the Velvet lives and TV appearances), her name's Cam Grey.

I love this piano/voice live! Very different from the studio version (which is amazing too). you can see how a great musician he is, he can sing a song 100 of times, and do 100 different versions of it!

Wow, my first time hearing this. Impeccably brilliant. Thanks, Shaun. One thing I don't hear people speak about is his diction. He's one of the few performers that you can understand all the words. Including his rock performances and huge stage shows with Queen, you're never wondering what the heck the lyrics are. A rare ability.

Thanks, Shaun, for your lovely reaction to this song performed by Adam Lambert. I heard his rendition of Soaked in another live concert of his Glam Nation Tour, but the sound was poor, as I couldn't understand the lyrics. Yet his delivery was theatrical and seductive in an artistic way. The audience held on to each note he sang. I enjoyed your full-length reaction to Adam's journey on AI in 2009. His rendition of Ring of Fire was my absolute favorite. When he did the vocalise part towards the end, it sounded effortless and legato as if he were on some LSD or acid trip and stretched his hand out to grab an image that only he could see. If you can, check out Adam's live performance of Soaked at River Rock in 2010. This version is dramatic, and the music has Middle Eastern vibe. I love Adam's hair, makeup, Queen t-shirt, and the way he takes a drink by lifting the glass and clutching his throat and stomach before consuming the contents. What a performance and so compelling! In recent years, Adam has sung Ring of Fire, but the momentum is not as effective to me.
