@@sikastrengthplease let’s have an Apti Aukhadov video. Why is it we get some Kaz lifters but no Russian lifter at the caliber of Apti? Makes no sense, where can we donate money to Sika to make this happen

I know this is unrelated but the Sika Pants were well worth the wait!! Unbelievably comfortable and very practical, great for training.

I've always loved watching him lift. He's so, so quick under the bar. Maligov and - on the ladies' side - Kuo are a pleasure to watch.

12:53 Damn Gabriel really strong in the front squat, 350 kilos for multiple doubles a week!
@darkerisbetter86992 жыл бұрын
Are we sure Eoin said that correctly? That is so ludicrous I can't believe it. Maybe 250 kg. for multiple doubles, multiple times per week?

to me both maligov and klokov have perfect textbook foot movement and position in the split jerk, also in his winning 2017 europeans warm up his mid squat acceleration after the clean is superb

Hmm I think Klokov/Akkaev/Okulov were still contenders that were near WR clean and jerks. Apti had a monster clean and jerk for a moment when he switched to power jerk but wrecked his back or something. Not to mention Lovchev's CJ.

@ Sika Strength , I think he got caught shop lifting after he was already suspended.His coach was Aslembek Ediev. You can also check him being corrected here by Ediev ,probably one of the best training videos of the russian team : kzbin.info/www/bejne/joGXfHhmnZt-q7c

Why is the belt a hindrance, even at the higher weights? Does it not support your low back at those high weights? Should you not use the belt for matching or is it a preference?

It's a body type issue. You need to be a meatball to be a great clean and jerk athlete. He did 185/220 405 at the russian event at the time of the 2016 olympics which is more than the 403 sohrab did to win the olympics. I know sohrab jumped to the world record for his second and third attempt, but he would have been right there challenging him for gold in 2016.
@chriswatts23952 жыл бұрын
I think 185/220 would’ve won at the Olympics in 2016. I believe sohrab only did 182/220.
