All "good" technique means is two things: 1. Can you lift the most weight? 2. Are you more likely to be injury-free with that technique? If both are a "yes," then you can have whatever technique you'd like.

Great idea for a series! I'll watch as many of these as you lads put out. I find Deng Wei's C&J fascinating - particularly her jerk. Her clean is worth note as a Chinese weightlifter because her hips are a little more "behind" the bar during the middle phase of the squat than I'd expect from a Chinese weightlifter, but her jerk is incredible; she seems to have mastered the ability to stack her whole body and makes for a solid, brick-house jerk as a result. PS I am consistently impressed with how Gabriel's english keeps improving over time.

Just here to really emphasise the point of fixing your dip and drive rather than your jerk. I had a woeful jerk but as soon as I actually fix my D&D (breathed into belly instead of chest and thought about moving my knees more outwards in the dip rather than forward), my jerk improved drastically and actually fixed my split, which I initially thought was the issue.

Dude do you guys remember that behind the neck Clean and jerk there used to be a video online with a guy clean and jerking 175 kg cuz a 64 kilo lifter tried it to beat a world record some years ago he got the idea when he saw a strong man catch some cannon balls on his neck and started to train it. There uses to be an article and a video but I can’t find it if you guys have seen it it would’ve good to cover in a vid I think it would go pretty viral if you can find it

Off topic but why is it you do not like the twisting/rotation exercises in the team sport videos you did eg the Lebron pillows, and I think there was a medball twist critique somewhere? Is there any scenario where you like them ? I think I get the benefits of anti rotation exercises but why is it not good to load torso movements ? Maybe I’ve got it all wrong but I’m trying to clarify.
