I do agree, she was likely passed out too often or just too strung-out to even fully care about her own escape, let alone reporting on Harmony… it’s true. I still did consider that, even when she attempted to use this woman’s phone, Adam managed to intervene regardless. That’s what Kayla was afraid of and he probably beat her more because of that. So it’s not that she knew how to save herself but not show any café for harmony… she was genuinely scared and apparently had no phone either. And the two sons were like collateral for him to weigh in front of her. If it were me, I’d have asked this woman to drop me and the sons elsewhere when Adam was gone. I wouldve just taken the boys and bolted. I also take Addersll, not opiates, though, so I have actual energy and time and space awareness. Lol.

Spot on! The #1 reason, which was also the first reason why he initially wanted her, was to spite Crystal... so that Crystal couldnt have her and to make her feel less than, and like he was a better person and parent bc they gave her to him and took her from Crystal. The #2 reason was, which he realized after already having her, that he enjoyed abusing her. He enjoyed having someone to take out his frustration on. It didnt help that she was a constant reminder of a woman he hated.... her mother, and Im sure that made it all the more enjoyable for him to hurt Harmony too. I CAN tell you that more often than not, when people who had very good intentions would miss doses or groups due to lack of transportation. The methadone clinic does not deliver. Or offer doses without payment. But guess who does? Drug dealers. What choice do you think someone waking up in the throws of withdrawal will choose before they've become stronger in their sobriety? This type of service can make all the difference in someone choosing to continue treatment in the early stages. I find it funny how many people I hear complain that this country does not allow enough resources for the root of many issues our citizens face. But then they will complain about compassionate programs such as offering rides to people attempting to better themselves in the early stages of trying to get clean. METHADONE patients are not all child murderers. Refrain from throwing them all under the bus. Get your mind straight before you comment such a foolish thing. I find people who think this way to be one of the catalysts in a lack of forward progression among society. Lack of compassion, understanding or empathy. And to anyone who replies do not attempt to conflate my frustration with the flawed logic in this person's comment as a defense of Kayla or Adam. They are despicable excuses for living beings. 🤔 Because you said “seriously” and ONLY because you said “seriously”, I’m going to risk taking the bait on this one in the off-chance you’re not a troll, and you’re asking a “serious”question. The answer is simple: it’s because it’s his right (same as every other American) not to testify if he so chooses. And even if he chooses to, it wouldn’t be until the end because it would be in his defense (and it’s not looking like we’re anywhere close to that point in the trial). But regardless, this isn’t new news-it’s actually been a legit thing since the 1700’s and it’s called the Bill of Rights. Fingers crossed you’re not an American; therefore, just not familiar with the Constitution and Bill of Rights as we Americans are obligated to be. But if you are American, I STRONGLY encourage (and beg😩🙏🏻) you take time to learn and understand-this is super important stuff, bro.

Odd questioning… she’s answering the questions in a sincere and clear manner, yet she’s then being told she’s saying too much too quickly, or not speaking loudly enough. Okaaaaaaayyy, so… raise the volume of the microphone, y’all. And she’s barely saying too much… she’s being very matter-of-fact, she’s a professional, and she’s clearly scared of Adam after what happened. She even told him she loved him and cared for him, in an effort to get her phone back. Look at this poor lady almost start crying, and she barely knows the Montgomerys other than transporting them to and from their methadone clinic!
@persephone158310 ай бұрын
The prosecutor was only telling her that she couldn't repeat what Kayla told her during their conversations as that would be hearsay, which is inadmissible as evidence in court. He only needed to know what actually happened, or what they did, just not what anyone said.

Why aren't the names of the judge(s) and/or CPS officials in Massachusetts who granted custody to this creep public knowledge??
@araci8810 ай бұрын
I am still wondering why the judge gave him custody. What the heck??? There is no way the mother was worse than him.
@StarsAndNostalgia10 ай бұрын
Indeed. There's a lot of narcissists who are drug addicts. I'm wondering if he manipulated the judge somehow. CPS is really screwed up though....they're not the heros they should be. They take children from okay homes and place them in worse off ones. People are so ignorant to that. But you find out firsthand once you get involved with them. They're terrible. Where was CPS when this child was getting abused and beaten by her father? Nowhere. Absolutely no where. That right there says a lot. For example, they may have taken the girl from her mother if her mother had nowhere to live (let's say the mother was actually a good mom despite being an addict with no home) and then place the child with the dad just because he had somewhere to live, despite him being an abusive monster. See how flawed that is? That's CPS logic for ya.

@Dont.Call.Me.Tall.10 ай бұрын
I think this was the witness to put Adam Montgomery away for life. I believe what this woman is saying and I do believe Adam put his hands on lots of people he saw weaker than himself. Kayla was probably afraid of this dude attacking her if she didn't help him dispose of a body. Adam liked to dominate and intimidate woman.
@Prometheuspredator10 ай бұрын
No excuses for Kayla. Her only concern was getting her next fix and sacrificing their children, especially Harmony. Her addiction was Adam and she sacrificed the children to keep him. It is sickening to know there are women who will sacrifice their children for their next fix and to keep their man. The codependency is nauseating. I careless about Kayla, but what i do care about is the children.
@Dont.Call.Me.Tall.10 ай бұрын
@@Prometheuspredator oh yeah. No sympathy for Kayla from me. I hope she has a simply awful existence. But I wonder if his ex's would answer about that stuff if asked or if the judge ruled that off limits or something. With this case the prosecution needs to get him for murder which is very hard to do with no body being found. So these patterns really matter. The same with where the body was stored. That is litterally the only evidence of this poor child being. But Adam is so screwed in this trial. I think that just wrapped up the whole case in 10 minutes. He was an abusive addict that should be under the jail.
@Prometheuspredator10 ай бұрын
@@Dont.Call.Me.Tall. I agree. Adam needs to be under somewhere and never found. I hope they both rot in prision, especially Adam and he is sentenced to live among the general population while in prison. Let Bubba take care of him and they will. He is very egotistical, but I am sure he has heard rumors and talk about what they do to guys that hurt children. He won't be that way to long once he is incarcerated and hopefully it is for life. Great if the court would allow for his ex gf's to testify for the jury to get a more intense history on him and the violence he perpetrated in the past. I do believe he will exhaust the appeal process. What a scumbag.

Not all drug addicts are like Adam Montgomery. I’m an addict. I go to a clinic. Rose is my driver every day. The difference is I am living in recovery and almost tapered off of methadone. Like anything, it can be abused and everyone has their opinion until they’re in this situation. Rose has been a major power of example for me. She is in recovery and truly just wants to help people

It’s so sad to see her face when asked about harmony, u can tell this hurt her. This child was failed so terribly! Although, I do understand Crystal was going through things and was trying to place harmony in a better situation than she could provide. It is incredibly sad, the cards sweet Harmony was dealt. I’ve been where crystal once was, my kids made me sit down and turn my whole life around. I thank God now that I was able to do so, and provide the life for them they do have now. Adam is such a monster and I almost never wish bad on anyone, but I pray the universe punishes that monster 7 times as bad as the pain he endured on that sweet baby girl. He never ever deserved her!

My favorite witness in a slew of circus freaks & zombie low life's. Sweet, caring woman. ❤ These creeps made trouble all over the place it seems. They should have been looked into a lot sooner but police cater to losers and druggies and so don't the courts, even at your own murder trial. What a shameful "system"!!! When's the judge and state being held accountable for causing this!?! When i dont show up for court, i automatically lose. Interesting the privileges accused murderers of disabled, helpless children are given!!! New England for you!!! You know the democrat politics.
