Your videos have a become a fantastic addition to my scripture studies. Considering that our God is a master creator, it makes sense that a volcanic eruption in Santorini set in motion the plagues of Egypt. Sometimes it seems easier to believe the ‘hard to explain’ events (how did Moses turn his staff into a snake?) than to have faith to accept that God is a scientist, creator, physician, etc….that has complete understanding and mastery over matter and elements. The comment section is also a great place to discover new things as well. I look forward to your future videos and insights into the scriptures.

I enjoyed your video and encourage you to keep making them. I will however say this: Latter-day saints tend to hasten to explain ALL of the miracles and signs of God through the lens of science or at least our understanding of the physical world. I feel that this is because we fear being marginalized by a society which moves increasingly towards scientism and secularism. We don't want to sound like kooks or as irrational cultists. There are however a lot of miracles that cannot be explained by common science such as healings, walking on water, turning water to wine, or resurrection. Whereas many of the signs of the last days are likely to be scientifically explainable, I find it unnecessary to rush to explain the science behind them especially since we may be completely wrong. Now if you want to go into the science of intelligence and the manipulation thereof then that's a whole different conversation, but I don't find it necessary to theorize on "how" everything is going to happen but rather "why" everything is going to happen.

I study tree rings for a living and many trees didn’t produce a ring in 1816 because of the stark changes in temperature and precipitation across North America, and the world for that matter. Crops failed that year causing the Smith family to leave Vermont.

If one reads the Two Witness prophecy carefully, the verse in Rev. 11:14 identifies the Two Witnesses events as the second woe. In Rev. 8:13 the three woes are identified as the last three trumpets, so the second woe is the sixth trumpet, meaning that the Two Witnesses account is the same events as the sixth trumpet but told from a different viewpoint. The reason these events are told from two different perspectives is because John was instructed by the angel to "prophesy again" in Rev. 10:1. Thus the events in Revelation chapters 11 thru 14 are all repeated events told from different perspectives to add more detail. Once we realize that the sixth trumpet and the Two Witnesses prophecy are the same events told from different perspectives we can see two important similarities. The two witnesses have FIRE COMING FROM THEIR MOUTHS and they can send forth PLAGUES. In the sixth trumpet version of the same events the army of 200,000,000 horsemen deliver death to one third of mankind by the FIRE COMING FROM THEIR MOUTHS and in verse 20 it says the the rest of the men not killed BY THESE PLAGUES did not repent. So apparently this angelic army is following the commands of the Two Witnesses and this is what leads to the death of 1/3 of mankind. Since it is the beast from Rev. 17 that eventually kills the two witnesses in Rev. 11:7, I would SPECULATE that the third of the earth killed during these events are followers of the beast.

I seem to recall something regarding the deaths of the firstborn mentioned in a film called Exodus Decoded. I do not believe in this film 100%, but it does offer some theories. In any case, the firstborn sleep in a low bed. Toxic fumes from volcanic activity creep along the ground and kill basically anything living. So that is one theory.

I have seen shows like the one you referred to on the science channel. Similar to other comments made, I think there are both natural and miraculous events in the Old Testament Exodus story. For instance, when God tells Moses to put his hand in his bosom and remove it the hand is leprous, and when Moses repeats the action his hand is back to normal. Also, the instance of Moses' staff becoming a serpent. However, if you take the view that the Bible is an elaboration on actual events, then it could be these things happened all naturally as you describe in the video, and later on the authors elaborated on the events to create a story. I'm sure people who take this perspective also believe that Noah's flood was a localized event, or that there was some astronomical event associated with the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. I have seen shows on both on the science channel. Although in this line of thinking some people start to use the same strategy to explain all Biblical events and even carry that on to modern church historical events. There are events in modern church history that are miraculous whether it is people being brought back from death or food that miraculously appeared or people who claimed to see angels. So there is a possibility that some or many of the events in the Bible can be explained scientifically and it would be a miracle as far as the timing of the events correlated with the Exodus story. Although the science channel tends to portray the natural events occurring, and then the Biblical authors later on elaborating on the event and adding it to their story. However, other events in the Biblical story cannot be explained scientifically. I do not see the science channel making shows on those miraculous events likely because there is no scientific explanation and they do not believe those events happened anyways. Some people believe all the stories in the Old Testament are just to teach certain principles or to give a history of a group of people. Others believe everything actually happened as is said. These are difficult questions to answer. I am okay not knowing the answers. If God wanted people to know the answers, He would provide the evidence to support the Biblical stories. For instance, people would find Noah's Ark, the Ark of the Covenant, or find definitive proof of a global flood. Instead we are asked to rely on faith.

From the way that I read the scripture, it does not indicate the manner of death, only that they will "lie in the streets". The context of the sentence containing "where also Our Lord was crucified" indicates the city where both sets of martyrs meet their death.

saberthedragon : it goes further than that. The Chinese government used coercion to steal the virus from the lab where it was sent to be studied, so that they had it to begin with. They cultured it in their own national laboratory, and from there it was accidentally unleashed on the people of Wuhan. You picked it up from there. Once it reached the states, because the government didn’t want people rushing out and buying PPE that they wanted to have available for the medical staff, they lied to the general public and said that masks wouldn’t help. That’s a big part of how it spread. By the time they were ready to admit that masks do help, but it wouldn’t have to be medical grade masks that would do the helping, it was already spread way too far. So by the time masking policies went into place, it was very helpful and probably saved millions of lives, but a great deal of the damage was already done. Even after the masking policy went into place, there were those who tried to make a religious issue of it, pretending that it’s about freedom, as opposed to about containing a plague. Some even went as far as to put videos on the Internet saying crazy things like masking reduces the amount of oxygen that you get so that you get brain damage from wearing them, they completely forget that all medical personnel wear them for extended periods of time especially in surgical situations. It seems to me, that Way too many millions of people were refusing to do their own thinking on this. If the medical people are wearing masks to preserve Their health, why with the general populace not wear them to the preserve their own or to keep from infecting other people? It’s just crazy.

I think that when it says that the beast will come from the bottomless pit and kill them it means Satan will turn the hearts of people against them and likely they will be beaten to death. This was really a wonderful lesson and has gotten me to thinking that we should learn how to cleanse and heal our bodies from these terrible plagues that will come to us. I often think of section 89 and the promises that are there. It will be very important for us to take good care of our bodies along with our spirits but most of all, as you pointed out, is obedience to God. It is the direct effect of violating the Lord’s warning to avoid the consumption of animals that has already created the number one killer of people...heart disease. Concerning the cause of the 10 plagues in Egypt, are you suggesting that they were all a phenomenon of natural occurrences or coincidence, like the Saviors raising Lazarus from the dead was a natural occurrence. With that in mind we might also say that raising Lazarus from the dead, changing water to wine and many, many other events during the ministry of Jesus Christ were just natural occurrences. The videos of yours I have watched were interesting but you've lost me with this one, now I wonder about the others. I love gathering information, I then spend days praying and pondering, walking through the woods, reconciling the information with what the Holy Spirit reveals. I am a believer of the Bible, I am a believer of the Book of Mormon. I believe in continued revelations and most definitely personal revelation. are ALL the mysteries and revelations of God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost contained within the pages of the KJ Bible? I don’t think so….there’s certainly lots and lots of clues that can lead us to deeper investigations of the gospel. I heard a fascinating story earlier this week from Hebrew literature about Abraham serving in his father’s, Terah, idol shop. Abraham bashes in all the idols and then places the club in the hand of the largest idol. When his father comes in ready to kill him, Abraham points at the big idol holding the club and says, ‘He did it’. Guess what Terah said? Yea, exactly what you would expect him to. It’s a great story that reveals so much more about Abraham and the traditions of his father and why he had to leave. Anyway, now I’M rambling on. I will enjoy the additional information immensely. Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon Jesus as King of kings will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5. No more wickedness on earth, Psalms 37:9-11. The righteous hearted meek ones will inherit the earth and live forever on it, Psalms 37:29; Matthew 5:5; Proverbs 2:21,22. Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28,29. The earth will be cultivated into a Paradise like God intended in the beginning, Genesis 1:28; Isaiah 55:11. There will only be one government over the entire earth, God's Kingdom government, Daniel 2:44. Jesus said that this good news of the Kingdom would be preached about in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come, Matthew 24:14. Jesus taught his disciples how to accomplish the preaching of the good news of the Kingdom, Acts 20:20! We must worship the Father with spirit and truth, John 4:22-24; John 17:3; Isaiah 42:8. Soon Jesus will make sure that God's Will is done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:9,10. Will you be there to see it?

* I believe the Scriptures not man. And if something is taught that can't be verified by Scripture think twice about believing it. I understand why so many people are leaving the church. Many false doctrines exist causing countless videos mocking Mormonism. False doctrines like grandpa gods, Mormons becoming gods of their own planets, Adam helped create the earth, Christ and Satan are brothers God the Father has rarely spoke in Scripture, all of which no Scripture verifies. And many are leaving the church because if you don't fit the mold the church leaders sculpture you're not a part of the click. Mormons believe the church leaders over Scripture. The zealous believers have the church leaders in mind with everything thing they think say and feel testifying to impress others how much they believe the current church leaders are God-inspired. But the Scriptures reveal the church leaders are the problem with the entire planet. For example, In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 we are informed of a person revealed as the son of perdition. This son of perdition sits in the temple of God making himself God or above all that is called God. Therefore, if the Mormon Church is the only true church, and I believe it is and will back that belief using the Scriptures, then the only person 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 could be talking about is the current Mormon prophet. For what other church is the one and only true church with temples? And Joseph Smith taught a son of perdition can only be a church member holding all the rites of God's priesthood and using the priesthood against God as did Judas. Therefore, who else other than the current Mormon prophet could the apostle Paul be speaking of? It's as plain as the nose on a face. And even God in the Doctrine and Covenants tells us about the current church leaders and how displeased He is saying the end of this world will begin among them. (D&C 112:23-26) And the current Mormon prophet is the son of perdition because he has all the saints believing God our Heavenly Father was created by a being greater than Himself. (Hebrews 6:13) Therefore, the son of perdition has all the saints breaking the first commandment God gave Moses, Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Does it make sense to reasonable thinking that God would command we have no other gods before Him but really there are? Does He not want us to know this? Why is it a secret? There’s a reason He commanded to have no other gods before Him. Because by believing in false grandpa gods the saints believe our God is an infinitely lesser God putting Lucifer before God. And the moment we put a god before our God, our God becomes an infinitely lesser God. Not only that, our God also becomes a liar. He and the Scriptures says He is the greatest of all. He and the Scriptures says He is the Most High God. He and the Scriptures say He created all things. And in the Scriptures He says over and over there are no gods beside Him. (Isaiah 44:6) (Isaiah 44:8) (Isaiah 45:22) (Hebrews 6:13) Therefore, the saints believing there are gods before Him is the saints believing the son of perdition or the current Mormon prophet over the Scriptures and God calling Him and the Scriptures a lie. And Isaiah warns, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20) The saints call the son of perdition (President Nelson) good and good (Jesus Christ) evil. Because President Nelson says Christ and His Father are liars. President Nelson says Christ did not create all things. (John 1:1-3) Matter/energy cannot be created or destroyed the scientists say therefore the son of perdition or President Nelson says the grandpa gods created these calling Christ and the Scriptures a lie. Well did Abinadi warn the wicked king Noah and his priests, If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.
