Adam Silver is Ruining The NBA, Can It Be Fixed?

Respectfully disagree with a lot of the points here. As a fan of both leagues, the NBA spoiled its fans with a storybook plot for 4 straight years with the best player in the league being an underdog in the finals versus a dynasty organization playing the “monstars” role. That’s now devolved (bc of age to said superstars) into smaller market teams seeing success bc of the increased parity in the NBA. At the turn of the last decade in 2020, the NFL experienced similar story lines with the face of the league in TB going to Tampa Bay and becoming an underdog champion, as well as the evolution of the KC Chiefs dynasty (now with an upcoming chance to 3-peat). Casual fans like storylines that affect legacy & have certain implications so they know what they’re watching is important and must watch TV. People complained about parity in the NBA for the entire 2010’s but look where it’s gotten them (ratings wise) now that we have it.
