The first expendables movie had one in particular at the end when Lee Christmas walked out of the bar and went across the street and threw his Kenai knife and hit the bullseye on the dart board 😏🤷‍♂️

you could print out an enlarged dart board, invite a guest and play some throwing knive 501 or 301. or try and hit an apple sitting on top of a manequin head.

On KZbin, "Red: The Ambush" is a short military movie that has a scene with a sniper taking out a mortar team and his pistol misfires. He takes the guy out with a fast draw and underhand throw that looks much more realistic than most movies.

With the Kevlar vest if you use the dagger or something with edges you'll probably penetrate more because they'll be cutting through the Kevlar strands and the way Kevlar works is it does not stretch so that way this page the energy and that's why bullets get caught in it because they're spinning. But the faster the object moves the easier it goes through Kevlar.

Awesome Adam! Makes sense that clothing deflects very well especially lighter projectiles. I wish you threw the stinger with a more force, I know you can...Clothing has hard materials in it but it's thin, so at certain speed limit it will almost completely loose its holding power. Awesome throwing.

I actually was suprised when i started throwing... at the ammount of penetration i was getting from the knives. I work with knivss very often. Notnusually throwing. But i did a test. Simply stabbing the target. I did not even penetrate half as deep as even a light throw.

I find the best knives for penetrating clothing, especially layered nylon clothing is a sharp knife with a sharp point like a dagger or clip point blade. I have a set of 3 black Gill Hibben knives that are medium weight( a little under perfect weight ratio), razor sharp and throw perfectly for the purposes in the video. (Trying not to be graphic, its YT)

I think the problem with knife throwing in a fight is adrenaline. When people even miss with firearms, which are a lot easier to manage, you'd probably need to be a champion thrower not to miss most throws in such a stressful sitiuation and a moving target.

Hello my friend, always depend on your budget if you dont have much money you can start with anything that has sharp point, after there are cheap throwing knives (those are good only for the first few months) and best are custom throwing knives those are going from 100 $ or more but with those you skills will improve a lot! to have killing blow would take arterial cut, heart penetration or brain stem. all other hits will not incapacitate a person and might infuriate and create berserker. to really consider knife a killer it needs at least one of two things... thin and long enough to penetrate like the construction nail, if he sharpened the point it could go in 6 inches and penetrate bone or something very heavy like bowie/hatchet that has enough force to cleave chest bones cause really to stop a man your target is the heart. Bleeding out can take minutes and all of them can hurt but motivation of attack is always huge factor in combat! A guy cheating with another mans wife is not gonna be as motivated or justified as the husband. Throwing a knife is always last ditch as you are also potentially arming your advesary! As a person who has hunted with knife I can tell you to drop a big animal you need a big knife! Unless poisoned blades under a lb are just for harassment.
