I had a sensei who taught street acrobatics, he gave me a couple throwing knives way back in 2014. Extremely blunt, they sat for awhile. Eventually i put bit of an edge on them and start playing around. At first I try a spin throw, but i didnt get any stick till I tried No spin. So I type no spin into yt and found you. You directed me to that german fellow, the no spin master...I cannot recall name but lovely long in depth tutorial. Some years go by and now today I have alot of fun with this hobby. doing trick shots and smiling just like you. Then I found a box of screwdrivers!!! I go crazy haha! This week i seen your YT short and tried the Military Half spin for first time - Bullseye! wow! Thanks alot Adam.

My cheap knife throwing tip is to go to a secondhand stores and buy up used tableware, garden tools, and pointy construction nails. I have dozens of old steak knives, butter knives, hand spades, awls, metal tent stakes, big iron nails, and screwdrivers that were practically free. Maybe 10 cents each especially in bulk bundle. This gave me lots of practice objects to throw without constantly retrieving.

Its years of practice, I know You get to the point it flies like a friggin spear, and it sticks in hard and deep into hardwood boards across the grain; not even along the grain, at least 3/4 ins in with an 8 in knife, with 12 in knife it can go more than an inch into hardwood

Have prepared three 270 mm construction nails. Be careful throwing them from short distances 2 meters to hard wood tree trunks is rather dangerous because they will hardly penetrate hard wood, but every second throw was bouncing back towards my legs or chest 😮😅. Soft plywood or pumpkin might be a more not dangerous target.🎯

Yes, yes, the Weapons Act. Everything dangerous is forbidden. Throwing knives and shuriken are banned here. That's why I bought a revolver. 🤣 Joking aside, of course I'm not allowed to walk around with a revolver, let alone do target practice in the forest. But it is possible to own a revolver in our country with the appropriate documents, but it is not legal to own a throwing knife.

If you are a beginner thrower, try to use longer and heavier objects first, and only then switch to light ones. light objects require more throwing speed, and speed has a bad effect on coordination. you will learn slower and worse. Also, high speed with weak technique can damage your elbow and shoulder ligaments.

for half-spin and multi-spin techniques, it is better to start training with flat objects like knives or files and then switch to round, square and other rods. this affects the skill of placing your thumb on an object
@Сигурд-т9и7 ай бұрын
butter knives, kitchen knives, as well as any knives with a thin blade can be very dangerous, especially at close range, as they spring strongly and sometimes fly back at the thrower almost at the speed of the initial throw.Be careful.At a minimum, use construction protective masks and glasses
