I think very highly of you guys as an audience - and wouldn't expect this from you guys - but please refrain from any hateful comments directed toward the other party. Mistakes happen - and we are all thankful to have walked away from the crash. Losing the car is upsetting - but cars can be replaced.

You never cross the double yellow that's the only scenario. they put the double yellow there for this very reason, don't stress yourself bro, you did the only thing you could, held it straight and jammed on the brakes.

Hey Adam, I don't know if you got this checked out already, but you should definitely get the ulnar collateral ligament in your thumb looked at. Where the bruising is and the probable mechanism of the injury (thumb pushed backwards as your hand got shoved into the steering wheel) looks a LOT like "skier's thumb". It won't show up on an x-ray! You will need an ultrasound. I did the same thing a few years ago falling off a motorbike and if that is what's happened YOU WILL NEED EMERGENCY SURGERY to re-attach the ligament within a week! If it gets left longer than that the probability of a successful recovery reduces dramatically. When it happened to me I got told at the ER and by a GP that the thumb was fine based on an x-ray, but I eventually got an ultrasound and they found the ligament was fully ruptured; I had emergency surgery 2 days later, and thankfully recovered fully. Your injury looks identical to mine. Please please please get it checked out, because if the ligament is ruptured and doesn't get repaired it can be a really debilitating injury... You essentially can't ever "grip" between your thumb and fingers again.

Respect. Respect, respect, respect. Nothing but respect for you Adam. In the height of the moment, just after the crash, with a hurt thumb, a shaken girlfriend, content to worry about, and a huge crowd of people, his response is, "I understand why she would make that (crossing the double yellow) mistake." 13:11-13:13 is real human Adam. No content, just pure and raw and I respect that more than almost anything you have done Adam. Since watching you in the BMX days in middle school to now, this journey has been unreal.

As someone that just lost a car and got quite badly injured in a near-headon crash. This hit home. Yes my car was only a shitty little Fiesta S but when it's all you've got and it you lose it through no fault of your own, it's so hard to stay calm and grounded after. As I stated yesterday, I’m so so thankfully that you and Collete were okay and the other 2 drivers were okay. It’s such a heartache to see that car get totaled out but that’s just it, cars can be replaced. You might get lucky and the damage not be too bad but it’s highly unlikely. My best wishes to you and Collete and I’m so glad y’all are okay and here to make this video. My thoughts and love to you both. ❤

Seeing someone who’s had such a huge impact on both peoples lives and the car community as a whole get into such an intense situation and everyone instantly doing their own bit of research on the roads, both adams and collete’s injuries and coming together to check up on them both as though they were close friends is such an amazing thing to see. Man… my best friend was a huge fan of yours and introduced me to your channel back in the BMX days and we both watched you blossom into a fkn FD driver! Like what! But I just wanted to let the people know that what you said is 1000% true about doing everything right and being as safe as possible but something can go wrong and there is nothing you can do. He crashed on a motorcycle about 3 months ago, someone made a left in front of him and he died on impact. He was an experienced rider and a safe and cautious person, shit was literally just supposed to be a quick ride around the block. There’s really no one to blame specifically here, it really sucks extra cuz it happened less than a block away from my house. Always remember that there are a lot of factors with things like this but the only thing you can do is reduce and minimize your risk factors, however, you can never control the actions of someone else.
