For everyone saying it isn't expensive, you're not buying the true 3 layer paint hahaha. You can't buy true MNP 3 pre mixed, it is a multi-stage paint. Base -> Pearl -> Clear

I'm running a 26 with twin gt2860r gen 1s. Extremely similar build. On stock block before the rebuild it made 530whp on 19psi on 91 octance. I'll be retuning in a couple months with a new fuel set up and e85 tune. Hoping for the same numbers you are. Pumped to see this build! Prepare for the twin turbo shuffle!

love the fact you're trying the twin route first. these motors are very linear in there power delivery which helps greatly on the race track. the big single throws you back in the seat harder but would be way more difficult to control power delivery on a track. there is also the Aussie time attack car with twins running 1200hp.

You Should check out the Motive Video on the twins vs singles kzbin.info/www/bejne/ama9gHeLaL2Kosk, the twins usually take longer to come on to boost than a single at the same power, it's just that most people go for big singles if they're going for high power and you don't see many twins going for the same power because they would do worse in terms of lag and threshold than a bigger single for high HP.

Adam, not sure if you have it in mind but the twin turbo y pipe can be modified to gain about 20hp. It utilizes the factory pipe and you add a plate to divert the air scavenging in a better way.

Normally the front downpipe is the one that is choking the first 3 cylinders when power goes up. If you can make it flow better, there shouldn't be much restrictions at all.

Honestly the all carbon hood & trunk looks amazing with the black trim accents. Along with the graphics & when the badges are put on and everything’s all buttoned up it’s going to look so clean man. Bummer with the overspray on the GTR, seems like such an avoidable thing but either way it looks amazing! Gold emblem flex goes hard.

Perfect turbo choice should make around 670 if you don't have any restrictions. Build or buy a set of equal length front pipes, it will transform the way the car sounds (similar to an equal length header). Match that up to some hpi, tomei or custom 3" dumps.

talking about the turbos at the end... thats what im all about now that im in my 30s. back in my early 20s it was all about more and more power. these days i like complimenting the car more than anything. i think it would be dope to put old school twins on the gtr to have the authentic feeling of old school power. like ok this is what the guys back in the day experienced. as far as power delivery, turbo spool, throttle response etc.

This will probably get lost but going big exhaust, mainly the down pipes has been proven to lower the point at which the turbos spool. From memory it was something to do with high and low pressure areas of air. The bigger downpipe acts like a vacuum and almost pulls the exhaust gasses through. The video I saw had a jzx on a dyno where they tested for better spool by swapping out the DP which made the turbo spool a little bit sooner. Might be something worth researching. Tah

It’s next to impossible to paint an engine bay without getting bits of dirt in the clear. However it’s really easy to get rid of them. Just sand them with 2000 grit on a block and then polish

Make sure you port the oem intake elbows that bolt to the front of the turbos. They have a cast in relief for the bolts that blocks around quarter of the pipe

Those turbos likely won't spool as well on the RB26 as they do on the SR20. Don't forget that on the SR, you've got 2L of displacement all being exhausted through one of those turbos. To get the same amount of exhaust flow through them with twins would need a 4L engine; but instead you've only got 2.6L. So imagine taking the turbo from a 2L motor, putting it onto a little 1.3L, and expecting the same spool.... I can't see it happening. Boost threshold is going to be high.

I considered buying the new GTX2860 gen 2 for my RB26. GCG turbos in Australia said they would not recommend that on a 2.6L RB and you would need 2.8L RB. I ended up buying Nismo R1 turbos for my build. Old technology, but true to Skyline heritage. I am curious to see what these new GTX gen 2 can do on your stock displacement and shorter gears. Great video, excited to see what they can do!
