Not to say there are climbers just as skilled, or even stronger in other aspects, but just his training is above others i feel.. The way Adam shows the entire process of developing the climb really cements it into reality for me. As someone new to climbing I find myself getting discouraged on climbs just barely out of my comfort zone, but watching how Adam can bolt a route and only complete it 10 years later really puts into perspective how much you have to persevere to achieve your goals.

Its so, so cool to see Adam working with a physiotherapist and developing an individualized plan of exercise that is tailored to help him with unique parts of the project he's working on. That has to be a component which could separate the best climbers in the world from all the rest. I love seeing the inclusion of training like that into these videos. It feels like a rare glimpse into just one of the many things that make world class climbers like Adam so exceptional, and its not quite that common to see in videos. Usually you'll see content of climbers training by...climbing...doing specific boulder moves, using fingerboards, etc., but seeing Adam work with the physiotherapist felt like elite athlete behavior, like something you'd see LeBron, Connor McDavid, or Cristiano Ronaldo doing off of their respective courts/rinks/pitches, which would translate into better performance on their courts/rinks/pitches. One last thing: Just thinking about really fine-tuned, honed exercises to help with performance on the scale as unique as certain moves or holds, I wonder if isometric exercises could be useful to strengthen distinct weak spots within something as minuscule as one specific movement or hold, strengthening literally isolated sections of a muscle contraction or muscle 'stroke.' For example, take a random exercise like a bicep curl. If while completing the muscularly-eccentric upwards part of the repetition, the individual feels a difference in how strong or powerful he or she is at certain points of the muscle contraction, such as the beginning and end of the upwards rep, while not as strong in the middle of the eccentric contraction, isometric exercises can be used to distinctly target that exact, weaker point of the contraction. I'd imagine that dialed-in training of that nature could benefit climbers on a level as precise as specific cruxes, moves or holds.
