Mario Terminel yes finally found the parts, I spent weeks trying to find them, Kawasaki doesn’t make them and almost no 3rd parties make them either. I ended up finding some fabricators in Europe that makes the set. Even better because they are make with steel instead of aluminum so they’ll be more durable(apparently they are a common failure). Anyways can’t recommend BDX racing enough if you need the power valve parts

As someone who owns a CR250 '06 i can confirm this system changes the bike entirely when it comes to power but alot of people dont actually understand how to manually trigger the increase in power. By a fluke and then trial and error i worked it out :) either the bike skates or the front wheel doesnt stay on the ground XD

I just rebuilt the top end on my 91 cr125 as we believed our lack of competition and smoking was due to a bad piston ring ,got compression back for a few minutes then it was gone! Then found rv valve was not moving, would this cause the low compression and smoking? Any info would be appreciated very much

Bored? This is amazing. For a while, I have been brainstorming as to how to have different expansion chambers, for different RPM ranges, and what kind of valve can switch to different exhaust pipes. And also do this with multiple cylinders, like a snowmobile engine. But power valves are so much simpler. And instead of a governor, maybe I can set up quick and strong enough servo, and an Arduino to control it. ...Now the questions I have is, can a power-valve be installed into any 2-stroke, or do I have to look for powerful, multi-cylinder 2strokes, that already have that feature? And how to make a power-valve more reliable? 20 hours is ridiculous. Even with non-aggressive use? Like commuting.

I am new to bikes and just bought an 04 cr125...which I completely entirely regret. Didn’t do my research and spontaneously bought a bike from a guy who said there were 2 hours on the top end. The bike started and rose but after 2 days of sitting in my garage I went to disassemble the top end to check on it and noticed two massive gashes in the cylinder as well as the piston. I also don’t have a power valve arm. :(

"Similar" concept to Variable Valve Timing in modern car's. Less/more air/fuel based on RPM and duration of valves opening so your car doesn't idle and sound like a dragstrip car to only then run "fine" at 75 mph.

pfft, i only clean it when i change pistons etc. and i only do that every couple of years. next time i think ill need a whole new cylinder too. pretty sure ive done hundreds of hours on current piston/ rings. still goes strong. but definitely looking forward to new piston/ rings etc. i only really trail/ farm ride anyway though so it doesnt bother me so much to be slightly down on power, and its too expensive and time consuming to change piston rings etc as often as recommended.. thats just extreme.

3:40 this is a great vid but with al due respect that is false. its all about the change it port timing...the power valve changes when the port opens. the size increase is just a side effect and not the main objective here. 15+ years 2 stroke experience here.
@ronhanish Жыл бұрын
i bet you could take that out and it wouldnt affect very much. a computer or brain box would be much better, thats a crude attempt to mechanically control and adjust for some slight benefit?, but again a computer would be able to pinpoint accuuracy like in a car fuel air mix etc.
